Climbing out of crib

So we have it down on the lowest setting and he has crawled out of the crib two days in a row. That means crib time is over? time to make it into a toddler bed conversion? or is there something I can do to encourage him to stay in?

I'm not ready for this. Stay little (and confide)

Re: Climbing out of crib

  • How old is your little crib jumper? (I'm on mobile). Mine turned 2 in Aug and climbed out for the first time this morning. And then to rub it in, he climbed IN and then back out again! Ugh.

However, he didn't attempt a single escape at naptime. I'm holding out hope that he can be talked into sticking it out for a bit longer. I'm not sure I'm ready for the toddler bed transition either!

  • He just turned 18 months. He crawled out yesterday for nap for the first time. then twice last night. We lowered it as low as it can go. Then he still did it today during naps. I know what the answer is and I already did it. I'm just not happy about it

  • What i did was to remove the springs & put the mattress on the floor. As long as your mattress & crib frame are equal with no gap it drops the crib at least 4-6in and keeps the kid in, yay!!
  • oh I forgot about that. I have seen it mentioned on here before. I knew you ladies would have more ideas
