*****2IF WEEKLY UPDATE*****

Brief History: MFI, DS is 21 months & was conceived naturally after 4 years.

Current Cycle Status: CD 3

QsOTW:

1.) Do you like scary movies? If so what are your favorites?

Yes and No. I love them. However I am a huge chicken and I won't watch them alone.

I enjoy classic stuff. While not exactly "scary" a personal favorite is Hitchcock's "psycho". The original, not the knockoffs.

I also like "The Shining" and "the exorcist"

2.) Name one thing/person you were for Halloween:

Wednesday Adams.

I dyed my Easter dress black, it came out a nice grayish color. I wore a black braided pigtail wig, my mom powdered my face pale and gave my eyes "dark circles" and it was one of my best costumes. The finishing touch? I tore a head off one of my dolls and carried the pieces.

3.) Favorite non scary Halloween movie?

Hocus pocus. Even as an adult! "Hey Hollywood!" Lol.

4.) Do you/will you dress up with your kid?

I don't know. Might wear a witch hat and some funky jewelry or something.

    QsOTW:

1.) Do you like scary movies? If so what are your favorites? No! I get scared way to easily, and if I watch anything even a little scary I will imagine people in our house all night.

2.) Name one thing/person you were for Halloween: I remember being a Cabbage Patch kid one year.

3.) Favorite non scary Halloween movie? I am drawing a blank on Halloween movies right now!

4.) Do you/will you dress up with your kid? DS wants me to be Wonder Woman so I have a crown. I usually don't but will do anything for DS!

  • Brief History:

DD Natural surprise, after 2 MC. Additional 2 MC after her birth.. Unexplained 2IF as of right now  -_- .

    Current Cycle Status:

    CD 14, waiting to O

    QsOTW:

1.) Do you like scary movies? If so what are your favorites?

HELL NO! Lol The movie "IT" was enough for a life time.

2.) Name one thing/person you were for Halloween:

Im normally just the "Mom with the stroller"... So original right?! LOL.

3.) Favorite non scary Halloween movie?

Not a fan of these either.. lol.

4.) Do you/will you dress up with your kid?

Probably not, Unless my DD asked me too. She's at that age where if her friends are around "mommy just isn't cool" anymore. But let them little shits walk away for 5 minutes and she wants to be my best friend again!! lol.

  • Brief History: DDs conceived naturally in 2 cycles each, TTC#3 since Oct. 2011 - Yay. Hit the 2 year mark. Eff. Weak ovulation appears to be our problem.

Current Cycle Status: CD 9 of a clomid/gonal f/trigger/IUI cycle. Gonal F tonight, follie check on Friday, IUI next Tues or Wed is my guess. This combo resulted in a bfp the first time, so I have everything crossed it magically works again.

    QsOTW:

1.) Do you like scary movies? If so what are your favorites? Heck no. I watched The Exorcist at way too young of an age and it destroyed scary movies for me. I can barely watch commercials or previews for them.

2.) Name one thing/person you were for Halloween: I went as a yellow crayon one year. My mom sewed awesome costumes when I was a kid.

3.) Favorite non scary Halloween movie? Hocus Pocus! Now I want to watch it.

4.) Do you/will you dress up with your kid? I haven't in the past, but I'm thinking a witch hat or something is in order this year!

  • Hi Everyone!
I have a DS from a previous relationship.  I have DOR and Endometriosis, 1 blocked tube, 1 hydro tube.
I am on IVFCD7, I have been doing shots in the AM and PM for 5 days now. Had an ultrasound this morning and blood work done. I will find out later if I start a 3rd shot to suppress my ovulation. I will update you all when I get my call later.  (Tentative retrieval date is: 10/09/13)

    QsOTW
    1) Do you like scary movies? YES! I love them, and I am not sure why. A favorite is hard to narrow down.  But I will say that the latest The Conjuring was a good one, and I went and saw it by myself. I'm gangsta like that.  B-)

2.) Name one thing/person you were for Halloween: Wow that is a lot. On Halloween night it is usually Mike Meyers. But for a party I did little red riding hood.

3.) Favorite non scary Halloween movie? I am not sure on this one... All I have are scary ones in my head now.

    4) Do you/Will you dress up your kid?  Yes I always have in the past, but of course he is old enough to pick his own.  I think he wants to be a woman this year.

  • I have a DD conceived after 4 cycles naturally. My OB says I have PCOS, TTC our second waiting for cycle 16 to begin...

    1) Not a big fan of scary movies. I don't watch rated R movies for one thing, so that narrows it down a lot... Haha. I don't think World War Z counts but I liked that one.

     2) I was Juno and my DH was Pauly Bleeker when I was 7 months pregnant. We don't usually dress up though. It's appropriate to post this because it's The "Bump" right?

    3) I'm with @KC1212 on Hocus Pocus! Classic.

    4) Nope.

This is like the COOLEST thing ever!! HAHA!! you guys are awesome!! Love It!!
  • Brief History: DD was conceived the 1st month we tried. Conceived again the first month we tried, which ended in a loss at 15 weeks in Nov. 2012. Been trying again ever since. Dx: unexplained infertility

Current Cycle Status: Just starting stims for my first (and hopefully only) IVF cycle. I gave myself my first shots of follistim and low dose HCG last night. MH is traveling for work right now, so I was all alone, which made it much harder.

    QsOTW:

1.) Do you like scary movies? If so what are your favorites?

They're okay, I like suspense, but not gore.

2.) Name one thing/person you were for Halloween:

Hmm...I live in NJ and haven't celebrated in a few years (2011we had a blizzard and last year was Sandy). I think the last time I dressed up, I was a football player.

3.) Favorite non scary Halloween movie?

Does the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown count?

4.) Do you/will you dress up with your kid?

I don't plan to this year, but I'm not opposed to it.

  • Brief History: DD is almost 2 1/2 years old. Had 3 chemical pregnancies prior to her birth but no problems getting pregnant. We are almost at 1 year of TTC #2 with no BFPs.

Current Cycle Status: 9DPO with a BFN this morning :(

1.) Do you like scary movies? If so what are your favorites?
Yes I like scary movies but not really gruesome ones like Saw. I'm really drawing a blank right now as to my favorites. I prefer funny movies to scary though :)

2.) Name one thing/person you were for Halloween:
I remember I was a Treasure Troll one year when Troll dolls were really popular. I wore purple PJs, got a troll mask complete with purple hair, and we cut a star out of cardboard, covered it with foil, and pinned it on my belly!

3.) Favorite non scary Halloween movie?
Hocus Pocus for sure! Just watched it the other night with DH & DD.

4.) Do you/will you dress up with your kid?
I haven't ever before but she is going to be a witch this year so I may try to find a witch hat & be a with with her!

Brief history:  DS conceived naturally on cycle 8.  Currently CD 1 cycle 22 ttc #2.  Unexplained 2IF.

Current status:  CD 1 cycle 22, IUI#3 (and final IUI before figuring out what's next).

    QsOTW:

1.) Do you like scary movies? If so what are your favorites?

I also love and hate scary movies!  I watch them but with my hands over my eyes and my fingers ready to plug my ears just in case.  I really like Cloverfield and Blair Witch Project.  I know there were holes in both of those movies but I liked the original concepts.

2.) Name one thing/person you were for Halloween:

A box of wine, complete with a spigot and a wine bladder taped on the inside that dispensed actual wine.

3.) Favorite non scary Halloween movie?

Here's another vote for Hocus Pocus!  Also Beetlejuice.  Good choices!

4.) Do you/will you dress up with your kid?

Probably not this year.  He wants to be a boxelder bug.  What a weirdo.  I'm not sure what goes along with that!

    TTC #2 since 1/2012

  • Brief History: DD 12/1/2009 from 1st cycle trying. TTC#2, on 18th cycle. Dx PCOS 2/2012.

Current Status: On Metformin 500mg 3x/day. Met with RE yesterday. CD 24. Will start first medicated (clomid+estradiol) cycle on CD1 plus have HSG. Might do IUI or just try on our own pending results of DH's SA from yesterday.

    1) I do not like scary movies. I am a big baby. Even if I am not afraid while watching them I will have a nightmare that night so it's not worth it.

2)A princess. Pretty typical. Last year DH and I were Black Eyed Peas. We wore t shirts with a "P" on them and made fake black eyes on ourselves.

    3)Totally Hocus Pocus!

4)I might dress up with DD. She is going to be "Super DD". Wouldn't be too hard, just wear a mask and a cape and I am good to go :)

    DD 12/1/2009
    TTC#2 Since May 2012
Dx PCOS February 2013 on Metformin 1500 mg
Met with RE October 2013, we've got a plan!
Surprise BFP on "break cycle" 10/12/13. EDD 6/17/14.
    MMC discovered 11/25/13 at 10 weeks. D&C 11/27/13.
    BFP 2/8/14 Beta#1: 176, Prog 18! Beta#2:335, Prog, 19.5!
    EDD 10/16/2014

  • @roughkat : I TOTALLY put my hands over my eyes and peek through my fingers to watch. LOL

  • @freakyfast - somehow it makes me feel safer!  Glad to hear I'm not alone.

    TTC #2 since 1/2012

  • @roughkat - I know right, like just a slip of the finger over the eye and it is all gone.  When I went and watch The Conjuring by myself I jumped and poked myself with my nail near my eye. Then I couldn't stop laughing at myself.
