Met with the RE yesterday

Well actually we met with his NP, but we have a plan nonetheless. I am on CD 24 right now, I will call them on CD1. I will start Clomid on CD 3-7, and estradiol as well (can't remember the days on that one). Then I will have as HSG between CD 6-11. Then an US at CD 12 to check for follies and then we can either TTC on our own that cycle or the day of the US I will get an HCG trigger and we will go back for IUI.

This is all pending the results of DH's SA yesterday. Oh and the only lab by OB didn't draw was AMH so I had that drawn yesterday. The NP seemed to think I might have a tubal issue because as she put it my "temps are beautiful" and we have had well-timed sex around ovulation. She said my charts could be used to teach people about the menstrual cycle in school, which actually kind of stung a little bit.....if my charts looks so textbook then why the heck aren't we getting KTFU. She also said my PCOS could just be causing poorer quality eggs but the Clomid would help with that. Anyway, I am really looking forward to AF for the first time in a long time!

Re: Met with the RE yesterday

  • Yea, I have over 2 years of perfect charts. All my testing came back perfect, and the Dr's keep giving H high 5's because of his stellar sperm samples, and nothing happens.

I had an IUI this past cycle with 2 big, fat, juicy eggs (one on each side), 80 mill sample (post wash) and excellent lining AFTER Clomid, and still NOTHING!! It is so freakin' annoying to not have any answers! You just feel like you're constantly running in circles- Doing everything exactly right, but what freakin' difference does it make when you can't get off the track, right???

Good luck this cycle. Hope some magic happens for you.

  • Ugh, the charts comments would sting. It sounds like you have a great plan though! I don't know much about estradiol - is it to help with lining? Good luck!

  • Jen071407 The NP said that Clomid can sometimes thin the lining while it's amping up the follicles so the estradiol helps to combat that.

That's what I was guessing. My lining has been on the thin side on some clomid cycles. Now I know what to mention/ask for.

I had to LOL a bit at "know what to ask for". The NP yesterday was like "You are quite the expert". I told her I peruse this forum for tips and to see what other REs have done. We have to be our own advocates sometimes :)

Very true! MH is a doctor and says I'm the worst kind of patient because I spend so much time on Dr. Google :)
