So I know most practitioners now won't let a pregnancy go past 42ish weeks. But back in the day that wasn't always the case. So who do you know that has gone the longest and how long did they carry?
I'm hoping these numbers will make me feel better when I am overdue and over it in a few weeks:)
Re: How far past EDD?
I'm a late ovulatory so for a spontaneous conception would expect to be overdue 1 week based on LMP. Then with a FT birth, I'd expect up to another week, so at least 2 weeks late as completely normal. (But IRL medical procedures and DH's genetics made both points moot.)

My mom went 2 weeks over with my sister and I both. I'm trying not to think about that factoid much.
I made sure to choose a midwife that would allow me to go 2 weeks over my due date. DD1 came 8 days late.
