Another big baby for me

Had an ultrasound done yesterday because women with high blood pressure tend to have smaller babies. Well this is never the case for me being that my first three were ranging from 9lbs to 10lbs. Well I'll be 32 weeks Friday and my baby is already over 5lbs. I have to go back in a month to check her growth.

I also ended up in the hospital after my appointment because my pressure was high and my heart rate was going crazy. Spent about four hours there for observation and my blood pressure was finally down to 123/63 when they released me and my heart rate was between 100-120, which was better than 160. It has since been 96 since I've been home. So the diagnosis was tachycardia, hypertension complicating pregnancy and mild anxiety. I hate my doctor visits because I get this way but soon as I go home, everything is normal. Will be glad when my baby girl is born. This is my fourth and last baby. I'm 38 and my body can't do this again. LOL

    Beautiful picture! I've delivered a 10.1 and two sets of twins from 11-12 pounds total weight. I thought I was finished, but out of the blue at the end of spring he said he wanted to try for a baby and here we are. Small babies run in his family so I'm hoping I can spit this one out like a watermelon seed!

    Thanks! :) I'm so ready to have her. She's weighing me down. My frame seems to have gotten smaller and I've lost weight especially during the first trimester. My first born was 10lbs 1oz, my second was 9lbs 3oz and my third was 9lbs, so I expect big babies.

    And I thought I was finished too. My last was the easiest to deliver. I wish you all the best on your pregnancy and hopefully you will be able to have a quick and definitely a safe delivery.

    I'll be praying for you and hope everything goes well. My daughter is small and my first grandson was almost 9 pounds. She is 5'3" and normal weight is almost 100#. I'm 5'9" so it's easier for me to carry "big". She is actually due with my first granddaughter in a couple weeks. Her husband is a little freaked that as she ends her pregnancy I begin mine.

    Thanks. I'm 5'5, and I'm just all belly. Will be so glad when I have her. I will be praying for your daughter. She will be fine.

    I have white coat hypertension. So my BP is always high at the doctors office. I dread getting my BP checked. I've been taking it at home after relaxing to practice for my appointment. It sucks! I too had a big baby. He was 7lb 6oz at 37 weeks. Thank goodness he was early. He would have been 9lbs if I went to 40w.

    I keep telling them I have white coat hypertension. I'm great when I get home. I have another ultrasound in a month to see what size she is. I guess the doctor will let me know the ends and outs.

    Good luck, I hope it will be easier than you think! Sorry you're having some struggles, I know it can be very hard to relax. Maybe you could look into some self relaxation techniques to help make your appointments easier? It might be worth a try!

    I'm gonna see Guennie. My doctor and I talked about it some yesterday during my appointment. It sucks and I also came into this pregnancy with panic disorders. It had actually stopped after I got into the end of first trimester but has been creeping up on me lately. Any little thing triggers it off.
