Intro :)

My little guy Ethan James decided to arrive at 35 1/2 weeks....he is still in the NICU for jaundice but other than that doing great! 4 lb 13 oz and 18 1/2 inches...little peanut! Here's the story: Had been having issues with high BP and then leaking fluid. Went in that morning and was told the fluid was just discharge due to a bacterial infection and was sent home. Well later that day it started dripping just about everytime I got up or moved, then also started having some cramping and just decided I was done calling my OB, I knew I needed to get to L&D. Contractions suddenly started coming about 5 mins apart around 4:30, got to the hospital around 5:30 and was already 5 cm! The next part was rough...had to wait til almost 8 cm before I got my epi because of them having to screen my blood for platlets. So finally got the epi and it was heavenly! Got to 10 cm around 9 pm and started pushing, littttle guy arrived at 11:23 Pm....so about 7 hours of labor total starting from the time I noticed timeable contractions, and 2 and a half hours of pushing. He was face up so had some trouble with that. Anyway, he is almost a week old now! It has been the hardest week ever having to leave him each night, but I am just so thankful he is doing so well and will hopefully be home very soon!
