first alittle background info our daughter kali was born on sept 6th she has no known health issues and has done great so far .She is exclusively breastfed however i have been pumping and giving her the milk in a bottle more than latching her to my breasts. for the last nights in a row she has been waking up at around 10 pm and crying nearly inconsolably..we try everything to get her to calm down and go back to sleep but she just wont do it! This goes on for hours and hours when its particularly bad and it usually is she stays up till close to 6am crying and moving her arms and legs like shes in pain.

My husband and i feel so bad for her we dont know whats wrong or how to help her and we feel like were doing something wrong this is our first child. she has always had gas since she was born and she gets hiccups after she eats most of the time and when she is having her crying fits she acts like they bother her too... should we call her dr? does this sound like just bad gas maybe? she has no fever. maybe all this is normal for a 3 week old? do you ladies have any tips or tricks we can try to make her feel better and calm down too sleep? thanks in advance my poor husband stays up with me to try and console her (he is such a great dad) but has to work at 8 so he gets like no sleep we end up napping at 5 when he gets home but would love to be able to sleep alittle at night again.
Re: experienced moms please help!!!
it could also be acid reflux or something else. so it is worth mentioning to pediatrician. hope you find a solution soon. i know it is hard to listen to your baby cry that hard and feel helpless to do anything about it.

I agree with the others though. It could be reflux or colic. Maybe give the pedi a call and see what they recommend.
Good luck!
My daughter was colicky as some folks have suggested yours might be. We did 2 things a product called "Colief" which is basically lactase enzyme drops which help her digest your milk or formula, and we got her on probiotics.
This cut the crying from like 5 hours a day to 35 minutes.
Please feel free to PM me if you have questions as I don't usually come over here much.
People say there is nothing you can do for colic, but there is A LOT of evidence to the contrary.
