blood in urine

On saturday Keagan kept complaining that it hurt to pee. He woke up friday night in the middle of the night saying his belly hurt. I called the on-call who said she wanted to do a urine analysis and check him for any sores. I brought him in Sat and the in-office UA showed blood in his urine. They sent it out to be cultured. I called this evening and they don't have the results yet. The doctor said its a 50/50 that nothing is wrong, so I'm trying not to freak out. He does have a little runny nose and low grade fever as of this afternoon so I'm not sure if that is contributing to anything. Hopefully we get some results tomorrow. Any extra well-wishes would be much appreciated.

    Sounds like a UTI/bladder infection to me. Fx it's good results

    No. and now he has a cough, nasal congestion and is saying his ears hurt. blah. When they call with the test results I'm going to ask if they will see him regardless of the results.

    We had to go in today to repeat the UA. The one we sent out saturday showed no bacterial infection, so they aren't sure what the source of the blood is. 
    The in office UA showed blood again today so it is being sent back out for another analysis in the lab.  We will hopefully have the results friday.

    Poor guy, hopefully he starts feeling better soon. It sounds like a UTI/bladder infection to me too, just based off my experience. I hope the results show something minor that can get him feeling better quick!
