ugh...to call or to not.

Dh is making me worried.
Lo is usually Super active and today...not as much. I've definitely felt movement a few times and at 5 am this morning he was acting normal. I've been busy at work all day so I know I could have missed any activity. Dh wants me to call but I just want to lay down for a bit and see if LO starts up.
Dh needs to stop making me second guess myself! Paranoia is not a good look on me!

Re: ugh...to call or to not.

  • Drink something cold and see if you get some movements. You can never go wrong with calling!

  • Lay on your left side and drink cold water. Look for the 10 kick counts in an hour. If then you end up short then call. If you've been busy all day it's possible you missed some kicks

  • Drink something cold/sugary and lay down. If you're worried, call. LO didn't move much for me 2 days ago, and kicked my ass yesterday. I think i have bruises from all the movement

  • Compromise.  Give it 30 minutes and hten call if no movement.

  • Agree with PPs....don't get too worked up, just try and lay down and relax. That's when my LO is the most active...when I'm relaxing...go figure! Good luck, and as always call if you have any doubts!

  • This happened to me last Thursday. I was 38 weeks and felt little movement all day. Laid down drank kolaid, gave it an hour and nothing. So we called and went in. I'm sure If you call they will tell you to come in and check you out. We ended up staying over night for monitoring since we still had no movement after being at the hospital for several hours. Two ultrasounds and all night monitoring later, they sent us home. Baby had some decelerations so that's why they kept us. I'm glad we went because I would have been freaking out all night! Good luck and hope you feel baby moving soon!
  • Lately my LO has been really active one day and calm the next and so on and so on. Try poking your belly a little and eat something sugary, drink cold cold water, and lie down. Give it some time and count kicks. I wouldn't worry too much. Just relax for a little bit.
