DH great grandfather passed away last Thursday, and last night my grandfather passed away.. That's two deaths in the family in less than a week. Today I have my first u/s appointment , hoping for some good news to bring to the family... DH thinks its twins they also run on both sides of the family.. Just praying for a good appointment... Talk about the circle of life... Trying to not get too worked up going through this worried about our little nugget...

I'm so sorry for your losses hun. I know how hard it can be. Earlier this year i lost both my grandparents, had a miscarriage then lost my mother within the space of 3 months. I too am hoping that we can give the family something positive to look forward too when we announce our pregnancy.

Like my dad says, "one out, one in!"

Omg that is horrible... I'm sorry to hear that... It takes a lot to be strong right now.... Not sure if I should start telling people to cheer up the family or stick to our plan of waiting till end of first trimester .. My cousin is already insisting someone in the family is preggo and being that we just got married in August naturally they assume its me.. Not ready to tell them they are right ... This is so hard!!

Tell them when you're ready. Speaking from experience, i would wait until the end of 1st tri. We announced early, but when it came to our scan they found a blighted ovum. It was so humiliating to explain. Especially as i'd seen everyone the day before at my grandma's funeral. That's just my personal tale though.

I'm sure your scan will go just fine. If you feel like it will boost everyone's spirits then why not announce? How far along are you? Personally i'd want to wait until the funerals have passed because you don't want to offend anyone who may think you're trying to overshadow the situation.

7w6d end of trimester is Halloween ... Well see what happens at the appt and then I guess I'll decide from there... My mom and his mom know but that's about it

I'm sorry for your loss.

Last week, on the same day that I got the reassuring news that my blood work was continuing to look promising, I learned that it is time for my Mom to enter hospice. This will be my first child and I'm heartbroken that my Mom won't be here to welcome my baby.

I'm soo sorry ladies to hear about the losses... We have to be positive and know that everything happens for a reason. I truly believe that they live on with what we are growing inside of us. Our babies will have a little piece of their character in them... My u/s went well today saw our baby only one ... But is doing good so far... Hear the heartbeat 155bpm doc said its healthy rate!! Came home and showed my mom the pic and that brightened her day... Thanks for all the well wishes !
