I am this close to disconnecting my phone

2 days away from my EDD and everybody and their mother is blowing up my phone with texts and calls. If I don't update my FB hourly I get 300 "is she here yet?!" messages on there. The worst is repeat offenders who are texting, calling, and FB-ing me.

It took 3 tries to post this (mobile) because of all the stupid phone calls. I would throw my phone across the playground but I love my iPhone too much.

I'm still 8 days from my due date and I'm getting tons of calls and texts every day. It is so annoying, because if I don't answer they start calling DH or my mom. People are so damn impatient.

I had a friend who was a week over on her EDD back in March. She ended up putting on FB something along the lines of "Yes, I'm still pregnant, No I don't want to talk about it. I will let you know when it happens. If you call/text me about it before you hear from me, I will not call you when it actually happens" She said the phone calls pretty much stopped.

My mom gets crazy like that, so I haven't told her about this morning's contractions (which are still happening, but slowing down, so I'm calling it as false labor). However I did tell my boss and she decided it would be okay to announce it in a management meeting. UMMMM, I really didn't need 30+ managers knowing about what's happening in my uterus. Good thing I didn't tell her about losing my MP, jeez!! :-w

Ugh how annoying! Yep, "lose" your phone for a bit...but really just silence it however you can since you love it. Sometimes I think these damn things are leashes.

The calls and texts are just getting going for me. (My dad has been calling multiple times a day for more than a week.)

It's also at the point where when I call anyone they think it's an announcement. I'm trying to tell myself it's not nice to mess with them... (especially DH).

I feel the exact same way. So sick of answering my damn phone. I want to punch my mom and MiL. Last night my mom wanted to know if they could tell me when the baby is coming... SERIOUSLY!?!? The best was when MiL informed me she was coming to my midwife appt with me this week... Quickly nipped that shit in the bud. I know they're just excited but I am so stabby these days... I'm just pregnant not a freak of nature.

I am only 38 wks but if I miss a call from my mom I have a message saying that she hopes everything is ok and wondering if she should meet us at the hospital!! I still have two weeks!!!

I had to head off my brother and mom making the 10 hr drive this Friday just because my dd is tomorrow. I keep telling them to be ready and when it's time, THEN they can come up. I do not need visitors breathing down my neck while I sit here and wait for shit to get moving.

How annoying, however I have the opposite problem. Not ONE of my close friends have contacted me in the last month or two to even ask how I'm doing that alone to get any new current info. Guess that happens when it's not your first at least in my circle.

My sister went to 42 weeks with all three of hers, and if I didn't have a 39 week deadline due to GD, I'm sure I'd go past my DD, too.

My sister and my best friend are the only ones who have texted me daily.

My dad calls every few days, and my mom is on facebook and I updated it today with a still pregnant message so she knows.

I don't know about calls DH is getting, if he is getting them. FIL is out of the country for the next week so he can't call. I think my MIL would just wait, and SIL has enough going on in her life to keep checking in. His grandparents would probably be ones to call every few days though.

I'm five days overdue and know exactly what you mean. Sooooo many "baby here yet?" texts that I want to punch my phone. Even worse are the, "get walking!" Or "when are you kicking that baby out of there?" Or "tell that baby to get a move on!" Umm yeah, because I have control over it.

I've been texting back one or two word replies, and I don't tell my mom/mil/stepMIL ANYTHING anymore. It's just easier that way.

I'm so sick of the calls, too! My MIL has been talking for my entire pregnancy about how she doesn't want the baby to be born early because of a charity event she was planning (that was on Monday). Yesterday, (Tuesday) she called me and left me two voicemails about how it's okay for me to have the baby now because her charity event is over. UGH. I don't know why but this bothers me so much!! Okay, I'll pop the baby out because it works for your schedule!?

A week or so ago my mom texted me that she had a migraine and couldn't sleep and was going to take a muscle relaxer, but wanted to ask if I thought I'd go into labor that night first, because she didn't want to be high in the delivery room... as if that isn't bad enough, the next day I texted her, "Hope your head feels better!" because migraines totally suck. She texted back within five seconds, "WHY?!?!?!?!" I played dumb and replied, "Uh, because migraines are no fun...?" and she was like, "Don't do that to me! I thought you were saying you were in labor!"

Yeah, because I'm going to be coy and subtle and just FULL OF RIDDLES when my baby is coming.

my sister didn't mean to be ridiculous but today she called me and asked when I thought the baby was coming because she has to take two days off of work this month or she loses them and she wants to use those days to be with me at the hospital. It was a sweet sentiment but all I could say was " what kind of question is that?"

Hahahah people are crazy. My brother continues to look for a deadline for when baby will be here. Now that I headed off his arrival in town based on my edd, he then says to me, ' Well if your doctor thinks it will be mon or tuesday let me know cuz those would also be good days for me to travel'

I cannot believe I had to explain to him that unless I am having a cs or am being induced, the doctor has no idea about when baby will arrive.
