It's been awhile since I've made a post, but today I stopped on to see how everyone is and to vent! I KNOW my 2 month old baby is a chunky monkey but why is it that strangers and some family make such a big deal about it!! She isn't enormous! She is 9 weeks tomorrow and 13 lbs. My mom, who is bat shit crazy anyway, is freaking out saying I over feed her, it's time to cut back on feedings, pump her legs so she can burn some of those calories!! NO!! She is eating just fine and I will not try and burn calories off my baby! Uggggggg! Besides, she's adorable and that extra chin is the perfect place for my kisses

My LO was 12.2 lbs at 6 weeks. Guess I better get her on the 30 day shred with me! Or maybe Weight Watchers.

He's 9 weeks on Thursday and is almost 13lbs. Besides, chubby babies are cuter!
IMO, as long as LO's pediatrician isn't concerned with excess weight gain, neither am I!!

I have the opposite problem......every is always commenting on how small she is....When I tell them her age they say how tiny she is....leave me alone

We had two tiny girls first so this little boy seems huge to me. Our 17 month old is 18 lbs and 28 inches. Reed is 14 lbs and 24 inches at 8 weeks

My mother loves to tell me the story of my sister's 6th month check up. She was a very colicky baby and so my mom would feed her all the time and at 6 months she weighed 26lbs. The nurses were so impressed that an EBF baby could weigh that much they carried her around the office showing her off.

How rude! People always ask if DD was a preemie because she is small (9.5 lbs at 8 weeks). No she wasn't and I don't feel like explaining my gestational hypertension to strangers.

People for whatever reason feel the need to comment on pregnant ladies and babies. I had someone tell me my baby was too small. No joke, 15 minutes later another stranger said she was big. I just give them a blank stare and/or tell them "No, she's fine".

My happy and healthy baby boy was 13lbs 4oz at his 2mo appointment. Two of my friends have petite and dainty little 4 month old girls. Yeah, he's bigger than they are. And pedi says he's perfect (and so are they!). Babies come in all shapes and sizes! And I just love my squishy thighed little monkey!!

I hate when people have to comment on size. I agree wit everyone else if the pediatrician is happy ther rid nothing to worry about.

I have the opposite problem too my dd was 4lbs 8oz and birth and at 7 weeks she is 7 lbs 8oz. People keep commenting on how I have a brand new baby out shopping. Umm no she is 7 weeks mind your business.

Yep, I had that problem with my son, he was very solid and chubby. With my DD, I'm always being told how small she is, she's 8 weeks and just hit the 9lb mark, she was 6lbs 12oz when she was born and has had some trouble gaining. She's doing well now but everyone comments on her size.

Um my girl was BORN at 10 lbs 10 oz. She was 12 lb 4 oz at 6 weeks. I'm sure she will be over 13 by 9 weeks as well. Tell them to FUCK off. Baby weight is not indicative of adult weight. My older brother started out like my daughter and he is a bean pole at 6'5" and 180. Don't worry about it. Oh and I about punched out the Dr at her 6 week that laughed at her clothes size. Yes she is in 6 month pants but its for length you twit. She also suggested I feed her less...um she takes 2.5 oz every 3 hours...totally normal for EBF baby. I'm not going back to her.

I wish I had this "problem" (in quotes because clearly it's not a problem if your pedi isn't concerned, and people need to butt out!) - DD is only ~8 lbs 10 oz at 7 weeks old due to feeding/weight gain issues at the beginning. I wish she would put on some pounds so I could stop worrying!
