1st period post partum

I think I'm getting my first period post partum.... I gave birth almost 7 weeks ago and am not breastfeeding, so this makes sense.

I'm cramping, bloated,spotting and have the world's WORST headache!!! I never got headaches until I got pregnant and it was my first "sign" that the IVF may have worked. Is this my new normal or is it because my hormones are trying to regulate?

Also, how bad was your first period?

I'm on my 4th pp period, and it's finally more normal. The first 3 were pretty atrocious. I discovered Super Plus tampons if that gives you an idea. I am now back to my usual Super tampons. I had more cramping etc during those 3 too, not so bad on this 4th one. So, yep, it takes a little while to get back to normal.

I had extreme headaches which was not a symptom I had experienced before but that calmed down after a few months...hope it gets better for you! On the plus side I had WAY less cramping then I did before pregnancy!

My 3 post partum periods have been completely, horribly insane. So much bleeding, so much crying and bitching. Good luck!
