Anyone having issues with Imessage or reception with IOS7?

Ever since DH and I upgraded to IOS7, Our phones have had nonstop issues. Our phones are 5. I have issues with imessaging not going through. DH is having issues where he cant call out or sent texts, but he can receive them. We've both updated with the new "fix", and reset our network settings, and restarted phones. Any other ideas?

I've had all sorts of problems with the stupid update... Have you done the 7.2 update? I did it and mine is still messed up (the apps freeze)

I am having problems with my imessage, I had to turn it off then turn it back on and that seems to be helping.

This problem was displayed all over my FB feed yesterday. Apparently there are a ton of people with this problem, particularly the imessages.

I'm still holding on to my Blackberry. I can't decide if I should go with an iPhone or a Droid. There are SO many iPhone users that I think it can't be that much of a pain, but then I see these problems and it worries me that they are such a liability for trouble.

I am not updating to IOS 7 or any of its versions. I just plan to get the new phone soon. So I'm no help. I always wait a couple of months before updating anyway, so they have time to work out all of the kinks.

I just have a 4 and I'm having the same issues with iMessage. I can send/receive texts most the time, but occasionally it will not send messages. So, I'll restart my phone and resend the message. Kind of a pain in the butt.

I had the same issues with imessage and found this link. I followed the steps for the imessage and mine now works perfect, no more issues.

I didn't have a problem sending or recieving after updating, but my keyboard stopped working on everything. Email, text, apps, everything. I took it into verizon and they had to do a hard reset. I was backed up on the cloud but still somehow lost 1/2 of my pictures, my notes, my reminders and my calendars. The last 3 are my saving grace with pregnancy brain, so I'm pretty distraught with that. The hard reset did fix the keyboard problem though- so I would recommend trying that - but only after you have pulled anything important off the phone!

I haven't had any issues with it so far but I know several people that have. The latest update 7.2 was supposed to have fixed that but I'm not sure it did. Have you installed the latest update?

Mine has been nuts. Ill type a message it looks good as soon as I hit sent it adds parts of other texts I have sent others. Or I'll be typing & my keyboard is blank. White key pad is there but letters are gone & it freezes

I haven't upgraded to iOS 7 yet because I don't want to deal with the issues. I was with a friend last week who has an iPhone 5; when she got it, she gave her husband her old iPhone 4. Now that they both updated to iOS 7, they are both receiving any iMessage she receives! Wtf?

I've had to restart my phone a couple times because of iMessage--- but it was doing it to me on my 4 WAY before iOs7 so I didn't attribute it to the new operating system. It's only happened once with my new yellow loverly, and was perfect after I restarted once.

Edit: With my 4 (not even the S...just the 4) my iMessage was a pain in the ass ALL the time. It would send to some people, but not others- namely DH, who is the person I send the most messages to, so it was super annoying. So I am overall 1000X happier with my 5 because it has not had any issues aside from yesterday and the minor iMessage weirdoness that corrected itself after I restarted.

My iPhone 5 is soo screwed now and my iPad. I changed my email address bc I was getting hacked ALL THE TIME. Well my Apple ID is my old email address and I can't change it only the password. I basically have to go to an apple store or call and get help. UGHHHH 2 nd time I have had to do this! Till I do it I can not get any new apps or us I cloud so dumb!!!! Also I can't send I messages and sometimes I can. My phone changes from I message to. Text message all the time for No reason so messed up! BOO ON THE NEW UPGRADE!

This stupid upgrade crashed my phone and deleted everything since my last backup and I lost everything. Now I'm having the same problem, my messages don't go through half the time. Boo on the upgrade is right!!

@ashybear - they should reset the phone to factory settings so it can be set up from scratch, removing the old Apple ID associated with the phone.

I didn't have problems on iOS 7 on my 5 (I had upgraded early with beta) and haven't had any problems with the 5s. I love it!!

@KatiesWei Yes, they had done that, and they had even turned off iMessages and it was still somehow happening.

Apple just released a statement stating they are working on the issue, thank god! I'm getting so annoyed!
