Single Dose of Benadryl for Traveling

DS2 is allergic to peanuts and while I always carry two epis and a bottle of liquid Benadryl with me, I'd like to downsize a bit. How do you travel with Benadryl particularly on an airplane? I know that Benadryl, CVS and Walgreens used to carry single use spoons, but they don't seem to be available any longer. What other options are there?

  • We buy the Target brand tablets that melt in your mouth.

  • Thanks, guys. I also have the tablets that melt in your mouth, but in the event of an emergency, I'm not convinced that my 21-month-old will actually take it. I've also been to several Walgreens in our area and they said that they no longer carry single dose Benadryl. Oh well. Back to the drawing board.

  • This is a bit late but thought I'd respond anyway.  We use small (tiny really) containers and pour single doses of Benadryl into them and put those in the epi-pouch.  We bought them from  (https://www.kozyepi.com/7ml_Small_Bottle_p/bottle%207ml.htm) but I have seen similar ones in container/storage stores (Solutions in Canada and Containers in the US).

We use the tablets, too. IMO they don't taste as bad as the liquid, and my DD prefers them, as well.
