Halloween GTKY!

DH and I have never been much for dressing up or going out, but we're in our first home this year, plus we have our LO (granted he was here for last halloween, but he was too little for us to do anything but put something on him for about 5 minutes and take pics), so this year I think we'll get into the spirit.

1. So, what do you all do for Halloween?

2. Costumes, Yay or Nay? Couple or Family themed costumes?

3. Lights on and let the trick or treaters come, or keep it dark and ignore?

4. What's your favorite costume (for yourself, a pet, or LO if you have one)? PIP would be awesome!

My neighborhood is big on Halloween. Lots of little ones.

I don't dress up but we sit in the driveway with a neighbor, I make Martinis, and hand out candy.

Last year I handed out caramel apples to a select few that I know and kids were begging for water so I handed out that too. (It's usually hot around here for Halloween)

Sorry I didn't do it by numbers, I wanted to be different.

1. I stay at home to hand out candy. I love seeing everyone dressed up!

2. I dressed up in college but haven't since then. I will probably dress up once I have a LO. Not sure where I stand on family themed costumes.

3. LIGHTS ON!

4. My favorite costumes in college were Little Red Riding Hood, a Picnic, and the One-Eyed One-Horned Flying Purple People Eater.

1. So, what do you all do for Halloween? I love carving pumpkins. And I usually try to hit up at least one Halloween party at the local bars.

2. Costumes, Yay or Nay? Couple or Family themed costumes? Yay. Hubby doesn't really do parties, so I'm usually on my own. I try to throw together something cute from clothes i already have. Last year I went out with a friend of mine and he was Sheldon and I was Amy Farrah Fowler.

3. Lights on and let the trick or treaters come, or keep it dark and ignore? My house is super-rural, so no trick or treaters for me. It makes me so sad.

4. What's your favorite costume (for yourself, a pet, or LO if you have one)? PIP would be awesome! I had an awesome pirate costume a few years ago. My cats have none off that.

1. So, what do you all do for Halloween? The company I work for has a huge Halloween party every year so I will be going to that. It's not on the actual day of Halloween but I'm looking forward to it!

2. Costumes, Yay or Nay? Couple or Family themed costumes? If I am going to a party (like the work one) I will dress up, otherwise no.

3. Lights on and let the trick or treaters come, or keep it dark and ignore? In the three years we have lived in our condo complex not a single trick or treater has knocked on our door, so it will be lights off this year.

4. What's your favorite costume (for yourself, a pet, or LO if you have one)? PIP would be awesome! I will include two pics. The first was from a few years ago when DH and I went as a white trash family. We went to a party and people thought I was actually pregnant and chugging a giant drink @-)The second one is my dog dressed as the devil, which is just adorable.

1. So, what do you all do for Halloween? Growing up, nothing (devil's holiday, people are dangerous, candy is bad - my mom was a hovercraft). Now, I throw on a really fun witch's hat and hand out candy.

2. Costumes, Yay or Nay? Couple or Family themed costumes? If we go to a party, we dress up. Yes, we do couples costumes. One year we were the farmer and the dell. DH was a farmer, I wore Dell computer logos. Lots of farmer in the dell jokes.

3. Lights on and let the trick or treaters come, or keep it dark and ignore? Lights on! Our neighborhood kids are super cute! Last year we had an adorable princess who came to the door and announced that she was allergic to nuts. The skeleton with her quickly said he would take all the candy she was allergic to.

4. What's your favorite costume (for yourself, a pet, or LO if you have one)? PIP would be awesome! A few years after college, my friend and I dressed up as tourists; cargo shorts, hawaiian shirts, leis, cameras, knee high socks with sandals. Such dorky outfits, but OMG, we got more attention than any slutty nurse costume. It was definitely one of our most successful nights out.

1. So, what do you all do for Halloween? H and I usually stay at home and pass out candy to the littles that live by us. We were going to have party this year but then made a last minute-ish decision to go to Florida the weekend before Halloween for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. We're so jacked for this mini vaca!

2. Costumes, Yay or Nay? Couple or Family themed costumes? We're totally the type that would do couples costumes. Next year for sure we're having a party!

3. Lights on and let the trick or treaters come, or keep it dark and ignore? I love passing out candy (and eating it in between trick or treaters). The kids loved our cat in his costume last year, I'm looking for the picture.

4. What's your favorite costume (for yourself, a pet, or LO if you have one)? PIP would be awesome! I can't find the chicken costume, but we still have it for him so I'll take one today and add it later.

1. So, what do you all do for Halloween? We have friends that throw a party every year.

2. Costumes, Yay or Nay? Couple or Family themed costumes? Definitely

Last year we were The Price Is Right...PLINKO game & contestant. This year I'm going to be Darla from Finding Nemo (I get to say "Fishy, why are you sleeping!!! Hahaha!) and I think DH is going to be Zoltar (from the movie BIG)

3. Lights on and let the trick or treaters come, or keep it dark and ignore? We've never had Trick or Treaters come by.

4. What's your favorite costume (for yourself, a pet, or LO if you have one)? PIP would be awesome! I was a ballerina when I was 6. I wore a tutu and a tiara. I loved it!

1. So, what do you all do for Halloween? DH is usually working, so I stay home and try to keep my dog from freaking out every time the doorbell ring and it is a little kid in costume. I might put him upstairs this year.

2. Costumes, Yay or Nay? Couple or Family themed costumes? I haven't dressed up in years, but I'd do a couple/family themed costume if the occasion presented itself!

3. Lights on and let the trick or treaters come, or keep it dark and ignore? Lights on. We moved into our house last year and there were tons of kids. In our old apartment, no one came.

4. What's your favorite costume (for yourself, a pet, or LO if you have one)? PIP would be awesome! I don't have a favorite! A friend dressed their baby up as yoda one year though, it was the cutest thing I've ever seen, and I'm not even a star wars person.

1. Go to a bar. In costume. Drink and act ridiculous. I thought that was the point of Halloweeen?
2. Of course. No themes.
3. We have never had a Trick or Treater come by but we are always stocked with plenty of candy- just in case!
4. I was a cat a few years ago, which was pretty fun. I had a tail that would swish every time I walked.

1. H & I usually watch scary movies and/or Hocus Pocus and eat Halloween related snacks.

2. I love love love to dress up! I haven't for the past few years because it seems kind of anticlimactic to sit at home on the couch with H in a costume.

3. We always leave the lights on and have a fully stocked candy stash, but rarely get any kids. It makes me sad!

4. My favorite costume was a unicorn when I was like 7 or 8. That costume was so fetch. My mom always made my costumes and she was really good at it, so I had some pretty great ones. I wish I had a picture!

1. So, what do you all do for Halloween? When it was just DH and I we would go see his little cousins dressed up and then head downtown with friends and bar hop. Now with kids we take them to visit family and trick or treat a little.
2. Costumes, Yay or Nay? Couple or Family themed costumes? Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. It's more about the kids now... DH and I never did themes. DD has a robin costume and I would wear a batman shirt... That's about as coordinated as we get.
3. Lights on and let the trick or treaters come, or keep it dark and ignore? For the time were home we welcome trick or treaters.
4. What's your favorite costume (for yourself, a pet, or LO if you have one)? PIP would be awesome!

1. So, what do you all do for Halloween?
Carve pumpkins, take the kids trick or treating, have a small party with my family for dinner with a bunch of halloween snacks and dinner in a pumpkin (Yum!), then choose a scary movie to watch after the kids are in bed. I feel like we act like old people and we're both only 24 haha.

2. Costumes, Yay or Nay? Couple or Family themed costumes? Before we had kids we dressed up, now I don't see us ever wanting to spend the money. I love couple themed costumes.

3. Lights on and let the trick or treaters come, or keep it dark and ignore? Last year H was working. I may or may not have left the light off and sat inside eating all the candy. H will never know..

4. What's your favorite costume (for yourself, a pet, or LO if you have one)? my kids are both being monsters this year, and I love their costumes. Ill post a pic on Halloween.
