Haven't been around in a while, checking in

Hi ladies! I haven't been around in a while. It's so strange since I used to come on here every day. I hope you are all doing well! I've been keeping busy with Caitlin, managing the family and our home, and I've been very active in a local mommy group. The mommy group has made a world of difference! The babies in the group were all born in the same school year, so the majority of the activities are appropriate for us. And it has blossomed into a diverse group of women with at least one activity almost every day. If you're feeling lonely, isolated, I highly recommend joining a group! I do want to keep checking in here because this group made a world of difference to me throughout my pregnancy and post partum!

At her 6 month appointment Caitlin weighed 20lbs and 28.5 in. She's wearing 12 month size clothing. I keep saying she needs to learn how to walk soon because it hurts carrying her around. She's practicing sitting up. She only recently learned how to roll tummy to back, so her recent obsession is rolling back to tummy, tummy to back, back and forth. She keeps me busy because she needs a lot of entertaining and action, otherwise she complains. I try getting out of the house with her almost every day so she can see different things.

Anyway I'd love to hear if anything new/big/interesting has been going on with you all? Any gossip? Any pregnancies?? Please share!

Nice to hear from you! Not sure if there is any big news, as I'm only able to get on occasionally as well. 20 lbs, wow! She's sure growing fast! Thanks for stopping by!

Nice to hear from you! I joined a moms group during my leave and it was great - although we're all back at work now (no SAHMs in the group, oddly), we keep in touch via email and facebook and occasional get togethres. Great support system -- my little guy is the oldest, but most of the babies were born within a few weeks of each other.
