I didn't get around to the felt food this week due to being in Maine for the weekend and my impromptu decision to re-do the living room. But I did sew six pillows!
If you want to make pillows on the cheap here's a tip: go buy some cheap BED pillows. Lop off approximately a third of them, stuffing and all, and sew up the open edge. Bam! Instant square pillow forms for a fraction of the cost of the fabric/craft store ones! I paid $15.52 for four 20" pillows and have a bag of stuffing left over!
2. I've had some challenging sewing projects when I was working as a designer for theatre and dance. Stretch velvet in an industrial serger SUCKS. But once I had to create skirts that, when laying down towards the floor looked like a princess gown but could be flipped up at the waist to look like the girl was transformed into an orange. We had these "petals" that were sort of leaf shaped that had metal boning in the outer casings and omg it was truly a bitch.
I've been working on a dress for a friends baby girl due in Feb. it turned out OK, but not my favorite project ever. It is definitely her style though so I think she will like it.
The hardest thing I've ever done was probably a flower pillow I did a few years back with felt petals seen all over it. It turned out pretty messy and took FOREVER! No pic, but trust me it was hard and not worth it.
