Just curious..How does one party know what the other is making in order to ask for a CS modification? Can you ask to see each other's income every so often or do you have to file in order to become privy to that information?
It depends? I think most of the time you have to file. My CO says we have to exchange tax info by a certain date each year which obviously contains income information.
If your CO doesn't specify that you have to exchange income information every so often, then you'd have to file a petition to modify at which point you would exchange financial affidavits and comply with other mandatory disclosure requirements.

What? Never heard of that. Strange.
To OP, I would assume you'd just have to file for modification if X won't be honest about income changes if you were to ask him. I think it's 3 years here you can ask for review..of course if there is a change before then one party could ask.
