WTF Wednesday Anyone?

Wtf was I thinking volunteering to watch an almost one year old for a few days this week. I have a new found respect for parents with 2u2 and especially parents with multiples.

WTELF - My sister graduated from college in June and was just offered her first teaching job yesterday. She will make almost 8K more than me and I have a Master's and have been working for 5 years. Seriously, so happy for her, but so depressed for me.

WTF traffic! I finally leave early for work to be on time for the first day in two weeks and there has to be a huge accident so a usually 30 minute drive took an hour and I couldn't get anything done before I'm stuck in training all damn day!

WTF Meatball, why can you not sleep past 5:30 a.m.? 3 a.m. is not an acceptable time to wake up. 4:45 is not an acceptable time to wake up. Let's shoot for 6. This is all I've got. I'll be back after more coffee.

Must be a full moon. My kid was up for 2 hours last night just to play and find random cheerios ground into the carpet.

DS woke up at 3:30. I cuddled him for 5 minutes and then put him back in bed. He cried for an hour and then gave up.

His funeral is today and all day yesterday people were going on and on about how sad they are and trying to figure out if they could get off work for the funeral, etc. There are a few people who are totally using it as an excuse to get out of work for a few hours. and in general, I'm just annoyed by all these people trying to 'claim' it as their grief. Which is stupid. Everyone has the right to process however they want. But ffs, you didn't even tlak to him for the last year. why act like you were best friends now?

I have a friend like this!! She went to a funeral of someone she didn't know, but we went to school with the woman's daughter. The daughter graduated with my younger sister 3 years after my friend graduated.

My WTF is for JCP. I ordered curtains from there last week for our living room. Amazing deal! I used my mom's CC because she had a coupon that I could use and then I paid her back for them. I got a confirmation but never printed it (WTF to me, right?) I looked up the order and nothing. No order showing, mom never got an email stating the order was placed. I went to look up said curtains and they are no longer available! Damn you JCP!

I generally feel this way about most deaths, especially when people jump on FB and are all "OMG SO SAD I LOVED SITTING NEXT TO YOU IN 9TH GRADE ENGLISH."

I will echo this sentiment. I, personally, in these situations, extend my condolences as I see fit. I attend the funeral if I knew the person, or if it was someone of significance to someone I'm extremely close with otherwise, I send a card or offer my sympathies. It drives me crazy when people go to funerals for a distant coworkers Aunt or something. I have a friend that does this and I find it to be so bizarre.

Similarly, recently a person I went to HS with lost his fiance to cancer. Another girl who I went to hs with would share his status updates and say "OK YOU ALL LETS DO A FUNDRAISER FOR XXXX", "I LOVED THIS GIRL WHEN WE'D PARTY 'TIL DAWN 8 YEARS AGO. SO SAD I LET YA GO BABY GIRL". The last straw was when she shared status and talked about a fundraiser when the girl passed away that night. I just think it lacks tact. I rolled my eyes so hard. And I felt so bad that the guy had to deal with status notifications from this AW.

I'm going with my own version. "Why the face, Wednesday". Honestly--today is the only day this week I haven't had a WTF day. The babe had a virus that I caught and then might have given back to him. DH has been out of town since Saturday. Work has been frustrating.

BUT

Today? Today is good. I slept well last night; the babe slept well. We woke up both energized and rid of our bug (fingers crossed). The sun is out for the first day this week and we're getting the last bit of warm air before Autumn really settles in for good. I got news I landed my new project at work when I got in this morning, and I'm leaving for a 90 minute massage (Thanks, DH) at 3pm. So I can't complain.

ZOMG... yes!! Why do people do this? Is it for the attention? I have a friend on FB that is SO distraught over any death and posts a "shout out" to said person. Really? You were BFF's with every single person you have known that passed this year? Pardon me if I am being insensitive I just think it's a little overdone.

WTF new job. I'm supposed to receive an email with the details of my job and which day orientation will be next week. They received my background/criminal checks two days ago and said I should receive everything else shortly after. I'm trying to patiently wait for it but it's stressing me out especially since my current job is interviewing my replacement today.

WTF, people that we supposed to come and look at our house yesterday. They were supposed to come at 5pm to look at it, the realtor called at 5:30 and said they were not coming, really. I honestly lose an entire day that we have someone come and look at our house.

Also WTF congress get your shit together. We are a single income family and have enough savings to make it two months, but after that tough turkey. They had better issue back pay for the days my H is furloughed.

Then go to FB and announce how you just dropped off the present and didn't even get to see N and bitch about how your nieces don't appreciate you and we listen to our family and don't make our own choices. Don't bitch on FB about me when you don't even have the decency to ring my doorbell.

This is why we aren't friends on FB.
