Sorry this may be a repeat post but I can't search while mobile. The past 2 days, my LO's poop has been more green then yellow. I've read a fore/hind milk imbalance could be the issue. Any experience with this?
I had the same issue. I stopped switching breasts during feedings and made sure the one was completely empty and DS was burped before offering the second. He would usually have a little before falling asleep. It took a couple days, but the yellow poop returned.
DD had green poop the first week we were home. It was due to foremilk imbalance caused by oversupply. Doing what maritza said and making sure one breast is "empty" before offering the next.
We had this issue but only for a day my lc said it can be dietary. That's only if it is one or two BM. If not then I agree with pp make sure lo is draining one side before offering the other. Kelly mom has some information on it. Gl op

You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'
If it is green and frothy/foamy, then it is most likely a foremilk/hindmilk issue. If it is green and mucousy then it is more likely a food allergy or infection. My son was having green and mucousy stool for a week. Now that I have cut out dairy it is almost back to normal.
We had one green poop and I freaked out and read the same things about foremilk/hind milk imbalance. Luckily it was just that one poop though so I think it was normal. There are lots of good references if you google the problem.
We had it for 2w....I mentioned it to pedi..she said as long as frequency did not stop, and texture was still same,,,to not worry about it....it has since gone back to yellow
You could pump/express some milk (an ounce or so) before feeding to promote LO getting more hindmilk. Until my supply regulated itself, I had to do that and block feeding to get his stools back to normal.
