Trying to be patient

So, I had a positive HPT this passed Friday only to be bleeding and cramping this Monday. I called my OBGYN luckily he said to come into the office with no appointment scheduled. I had an ultra sound showing no signs of pregnancy. Then he attempted to do a pelvic exam however he noticed my cervix was closed. Decided to check the blood work to confirm a beta test. Now I'm at home trying to stay calm and trying my best not to freak out while waiting for results. I previously had an early miscarriage back in June. I took another HPT today and it still shows a positive. But should I trust it? That would indicate my levels are still high enough to read since last Friday. Any thoughts or similar stories to share, would he helpful.

So sorry for your loss and now your waiting game. I had a CP this past cycle and was able to turn a test 2 weeks past when bleeding started even though I was only pg for about 5 days total. It can be a real mind fuck. Best advice I can think of is to wait for your betas and see what they are and if they rise. Fingers crossed for you.

I'm sorry you're going through this. I also had positive tests after one of my miscarriages. Hope they get the blood work back soon.

I don't have any advice, I just wanted to wish you luck! Personally I would not keep taking HPTs because like PP have mentioned it can drive you crazy. Wait to hear back from your OB/GYN.
