MN would most likely be Tyler after DH. But the problem there is that our last name is also one syllable and five letters. I almost don't care, though.
I like it, under used today, an established name, spellable, pronounceable, hits all the essentials! I've considered it, but I know a Scott that I'm not sure I can effectively disassociate the name from to feel comfortable naming my (hypothetical) son the same name

I like Scott, but I personally wouldn't use it with a last name like yours. I would limit my choices to 2+ syllable first names.
It's my brothers name and there were 2 in my class from elementary through high school, so it feels very 80's to me. I don't think I've met a young Scott.
