Added another nap?

LO has started taking a third nap during the day. He sleeps anywhere from 10-12 hours per night and used to nap twice a day for 2.5 hours each nap. Should I be concerned? Any other 8 month olds napping 3 times a day? He has his 9 month well appt in 2 weeks so I am going to discuss with his doctor then.

    My 7 month old naps between 3 and 5 times a day still. I just go with it.

    DD naps twice a day. She made the transition from 3 naps to 2 at about 6.5 months. BUT there was a week or two around 7.5 months where she was waking up at 5:30 every morning (instead of her usual 7 or 7:30...) and started needing a third nap again. Like everything else, it passed with time and she's back to 2 long naps.
