Magazine for Preschooler?

Hello! I am thinking of Christmas gifts, and the idea of a magazine subscription crossed my mind. DS loves helping me get the mail, and I think he would get a kick out of something arriving just for him in the mailbox (he is 3).

Do you have any suggestions for magazines that would be good for a preschooler?

Based on my research, the front runners seem to be: Big Backyard, High Five by Highlights, National Geographic for Little Kids. (Bonus points if you have experience with any of those.)

Zootles (I think that's the names) and Nat Geo are awesome. DD loves getting her mail!

High 5 is a huge hit in this house. The Nat Geo is nice too but has much less content. If I had to pick one, I would get High 5.

Check your public library too. Ours has subscriptions to all of them, including many not listed here. The newer ones are in-library use only but you can check out and take home the older ones. We tested his interest on several that way.

We do the Toddler Highlights "magazine". It's a little book that they can't tear and is based on age, season, etc. We love it!

If I may be so bold, my family & I love all the ZooBooks magazines, in fact, we have a little site that we'd love for you to visit when you're ready for the subscription

PS- I agree with LSU68, that Zootles is the right version for boys & girls 3 - 6 years old.
