DH and I are starting to talk about me going back to work. I am looking into whether a daycare center or home based would be best for us and could use your expertise. What are some good questions to ask the center and/or nanny as we are researching? I think I have a better hold on the center questions, it's the nanny ones I'm mostly struggling with. TIA for your help!

Re: Questions to ask daycare or nanny
Firstly, if you go this route do a pre-screening interview over the phone. It's no fun to have people cycling through your house and disturbing your routine. Tell them about the job, ask if they have first aid/cpr, make sure they are an ECE (worth every extra penny you pay) this person is looking after your kids! You want them to know how to stimulate and teach them. Ask about their most recent experience with kids. Really, you want someone who has worked with multiples. Get a sense of the person.
Once you get an idea of the people you want to bring in for a second interview - have them come in. See how they interact with your kids, ask more detailed questions about how they would deal with crying, deal with emergencies (how they have if they have before), are they patient, ask how they would stimulate/play with your kids.
This is all I can think of now. GL
