Does anyone have a really good stretch mark cream? I am16wks and only getting bigger so I figure it is time to start thinking about stretch mark cream.
I can't speak to the way it works, but I bought "Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Stretch Mark Massage Cream" recently, for the same reason as you! It smells really good!
My sister-in-law recommended Bio-Oil, which I'll invest in next
I'm interested to see what other bumpies recommend!
I use bump oil and tummy butter from spoiled mama. I also got a tummy butter stick from the body shop - smells awesome and is way cheaper than the spoiled mama stuff.
@codec agreed. Stretch marks are hereditary. There are not cures or lotions or oils or rubs out there that will help to prevent them or reduce them. It's sucks I know. Check with you mom. If she has stretch marks you are most likely to as well. The creams and all that are great to reduce the amount of itch. The more you itch is also another thing that will help create stretch marks. Good luck as I am an unluky one and will be blessed with a beautiful array of red and pink zebra strips............. Everywhere!
I'm an avid lotion user anyways but I got Palmer's tummy butter and palmers body oil on recommendation. My mom said she used oil the whole time with me and she made it out with only a couple. Heredity had something to do with it also, but I'm a firm believer in keeping skin moisterized to avoid them.
sorry ladies but everyone I have ever talked too said the creams, lotions and butters were a waste of money. Have never used them with either of my pregnancies and don't plan on using any this time either, any type of body lotion will help with the itching but that is about it. you either get them or you don't, I look at it as I have earned my stripes and I have to admit I am proud of them. no one else has to look at my body if they don't want too simple as that.
They have something at the motherhood maternity store the pushy sales lady said its awesome, can't speak from experience. Although I do have 2 stretch marks officially
For those who have gotten stretch marks from pregnancy, where are they? Below navel? Above navel? On the sides? Lower back? Hips? Breast? Just curious so I know where to look and keep an eye out
My SIL suggested castor oil, but I use Palmer's butter & I'm going to start using lavender oil. It's a cure-all...so hopefully it'll help them heal easier!
Mine are located on my inner thighs, boobs and the back of my hips.
Regardless if it works or not, which in most cases it does. You still need to keep the belly moisturized It will continue to get bigger and why not keep it lathered up. Especially if its itchy.
