The idea is you write to them anytime you want to document their life and once they are old enough give them access to read..love love love this ( think it would be good to give email to relatives too)

    Oh funny. We set one up for our DD1 to do this when she was born and have one set up for DD2 :) Its been really fun!

    Yup! Riley has Gmail! I intended to email her once a month with photos, maybe I'll start doing that now.

    My mom writes DD a hand written letter each month. She's retired so has a lot of time on her hands! But she's just in love with being a Grandma and wants to create special memories.

    I have a journal that has daily entries for five years. I really hope I can keep it up for DS. I like the email idea but the journal is more up my alley

    Heh, I actually made an email address for DD on Father's Day, because we had only really been home from the hospital a week or so, and I didn't have the bandwidth to get him a gift. Instead, I wrote him an email from DD!
