I've never been to a Trader Joe's but we have one about a half hour drive away. Thinking of finally making the trip!

What are some things you like to get from Trader Joe's? I've heard good things about their hummus...and the post below makes me want to try their hot dogs. What else is good?

I like some if their lunch freezer stuff. WINE!!! That's pretty much why I go. You can get some great bottles under $10. Their groceries are ok but if you are going specifically just for groceries you may be dissapointed.

Oh also cookies! They have some great cookie variety.

@SweetLittleThing IKR?? I think they opened up last year but I was waiting for the excitement to wear down, lol.

Now i can't wait to go! Yum yum.

We like: the cheese sticks, the frozen burritos, the crackers (including the cheese cracker sticks, yum yum), the COOKIE BUTTER (crunchy is the best), Coconut Oil, some of the premarinated/stuff meat products.

I feel sorry for anyone that can't get wine at a grocery store. I would die!!

Agreed. Although at Trader Joe's it's just a separate store within a store. It's ridiculous how you have to pay twice. ~X(

I'm not speaking to a single one of you today.

Except for this... @nesenotes and @jodielyn10 I grew up in a completely dry county- no alcohol of any kind. MH did too. To get alcohol, you had to drive 30 minutes to the county line. They've been gone wet in the last year. In my county, you can't advertise you have it and no bars are allowed. Stores started putting signs out front that said "It's cold and it's here." In MH's hometown, they can only sell wine and beer in stores. No restaurants can even have it, but they may be because they only have fast food, Pizza Hut and 2 local hole in the wall type places.

We get almost all of our groceries at Trader Joe's. The prices are much better than the supermarket, and while the produce isn't like farmer's market quality, it's also better than the supermarket (here at least).

This is probably flameful but I don't like cookie butter. I was really excited to try it, but it's kind of bland and there is soooo much saturated fat that it's not worth it. If I'm going to eat a fatty snack it's going to have chocolate in it!

Wooooooow. I can't even imagine. Here even a ton of fast food places offer beer and wine.

@sweetlittlething that is weird!! The one I go to at Gillette stadium sells it and the Framingham one sells it. I think I remember the Gillette one had to go through a permit process with the town and it delayed opening a little bit so maybe that's why, it may depend on things like that. Well just in case those aren't that far from you, now you know!

It has something to do with our outdated Blue Laws and only a certain number of liquor permits being issued per town. So lame!
