Need advice- coworker baby gift for someone that has everything..

Hi ladies,

I've never posted on this board before, but appreciate the help in advance. 

I have a colleague that I've never met- he lives in NY, is a hedge fund guru married to a tv actress, and they just had their first baby boy.  Are there any suggestions for unique gifts that I can send to them?  They didn't make a registry and I'll be sending it from online or buy here in Texas and mail.  I don't really have a budget, just nothing too excessive!

    Maybe something monogrammed with the baby's name? A friend of mine got me a blanket from Pottery Barn Kids with my son's name on it and we used it all the time!

    Check out the Land of Nod...they have tons of unique gift ideas. Also, sometimes people who have everything lack a lot of the baby basics. Sometimes a cute basket filled with basic things does the trick.

    Restoration Hardware Baby and Child has some really nice ideas for gifts.  They have a pewter collection that you could have the baby's name engraved on.  They also have lots of luxury cable knit and cashmere blankets that are beautiful with a monogram.  I had one for both of my babies and loved the quality and softness of the blankets.

    I would go Texan. Baby cowboy boots. I've seen some cute crochet cowboy hats.

    haha, sounds like someone that I'm friends with.  I just bought something some jeans, a onesieand a gift box of socks for a similar couple (if not the same one) from Bloomingdale's and made sure to put in a gift receipt.
