Hi,
We really don't let our twins watch a lot of TV, but when my son gets a fever he only does three things: screaming at the top of his lungs, sleeping, or watching TV. The TV is the only thing that calms him down enough to fall back asleep, so of course when it's 4AM after 2 hours of straight screaming, we let him watch all the TV he wants...anyway... the programming at 4AM is obviously not always educational (eg. cartoons are too mature), and they just started daycare so we are going through our "dozen or so' sicknesses that happen with kids starting daycare, so wanted some recommendations for good DVDs that are:
1) educational - stuff like learning numbers, shapes, colors, not necessarily things like learning imagination/sharing/helping/kindness which we have taught them a lot already
2) Age appropriate (20-24 months)
Specifics would really help - I searched Sesame Street but there are so many varieties, I really need specific titles that people liked.
Thanks!!!

You're overthinking it. If it's just something to watch when he's sick in the middle of the night, a Disney movie or cartoons is fine for that situation. I'm not against educational TV, but it's only worthwhile if he can be engaged and interact with the show, which I doubt is the case when he doesn't feel good.
