Funny or strange things that our kids do

What are the funny or strange things that your kids are up to these days?

C's not interested in sleeping in her bed anymore.  For the past week she's slept in a sleeping bag on the floor.  No idea why but I don't really care....as long as she sleeps :)  Hoping it's just a phase since we're planning on upgrading her bed to an actual twin (instead of a toddler bed) for her birthday.

She's also really into breastfeeding her dolls lol.  It's cute and funny but sometimes she doesn't understand why she can't feed her sister. :)

  • Ava started something similar.  I made a tent out of her activity mat and for a while she wanted to sleep in that.  We eventually put it on top of her bed so we didn't have to move her after she fell asleep.

  • LOL I have a sheet atop DD's toddler bed because she started insisting 9 months ago that she sleep in a "tent"  I think she is destined to demand a canopy bed once she realizes that they exist.

  • DS1 often wants to sleep on the rug in front of his bed. He's got a little sleeping bag too and puts it down on the rug. Like you, I don't mind - as long as he sleeps!

  • A likes to courtesy flush. He sits backwards on the toilet when he goes. Usually not a big deal although the desert living girl I am cringes a bit when he flushes after every little poop he does in one sitting. However if I try to flip him then he flips out and epic meltdown and no pooping will be done.

  • DD got a musical play teapot & cake set for her first birthday, but she has barely got to play with it b/c DS is obsessed with it! He will take the cake slices out of the tray & put them back in over & over. Then he tries to carry it & they fall out onto the floor, lol. He puts the teapot spout to his mouth & pretends to down the whole pot & says, "uh oh! it's empty!" He's pretty comical with it.

  • and I am also jealous of everyone's kid who actually sleeps. DS is the worst sleeper on the planet. He makes MH stay in the room till he falls asleep, he wakes multiple times at night from what seem to be night terrors & then wakes for the day with the sun. We are exhausted from him!

  • sdpookie- that is hilarious that she tries to breastfeed the baby doll!

Within the last couple of weeks, Noah has become a bit obsessed with Dora. There is one episode where Dora is on her way to a gymnastics meet, but she has to find her ribbon for it. So Noah has a piece of ribbon that he dances around the house swinging and saying, "Fantastic gymnastics!"  and acting like Dora. It's pretty cute :)

  • Ugh, @bosha711 We went through a month or so of that not long ago.  Thankfully it was just a passing phase, I hope it is for you too!

Jack has been insisting on going to the toy section to grab a toy shopping cart every time we go to Target.  He pushes it around the store next to me.  lol They have 3 kinds and they are all a shade of bright pink/purple, why are they only marketed to girls???
I used to be a big deal.  Now I'm just old.
