I have always had eczema, but it is usually only bad in the winter, and usually only on my hands. With this baby my skin is so red, flaky, itchy, dry and just painful. It is all over my arms, hands, wrists, legs...I went to the dermatologist, and she gave me an rx but said to only use it 1x a week...
Are any of you in a similar situation or have any advice? Thanks!
I have a script from my doctor that I can use once a day. I don't usually only when it gets really bad. Aveeno whipped mouse body cream has helped for in between applications. Pure coconut oil worked for a little while, or even cortizone for eczema, it helps really stop the itch for me in between prescription cream uses.
The standard cooler showers, dry off, no scented lotions, no scented detergents, etc.
I am sorry you are going through this, some days I am so miserably itchy!! I have always had this but it seems to pop up much quicker these days.
Cerave lotion (just an OTC cream you can buy anywhere) completely cleared mine up. It actually worked better/faster than my normal prescription that I am no longer allowed to use.
