Diaper Question

DD has been leaking through her diapers at night and during naps.  Not all the time but enough to make me think I need to get something bigger for sleeping. I use Pampers and love the brand.  I see they have overnight ones.  Has anyone ever used them? She fits fine in the size 5 so I am afraid to get the next size up thinking they will be way to big.  So I saw the overnight ones in size 5 and thought maybe that would be the way to go.  Just wondering if they really work or is it waste of money and I should go with the next size up.

Thanks in advance :)

  • Hope you find a solution...

My only problem with trying pullups is.. pullups also mean pulldowns LOL .. this kid is like Houdini so I imagine we'll have a lotta naked butt running around for a while.  He loves to be naked and luckily has only peed on the wooden floor areas or in the shower ...so far.

  • We use Pampers Baby Dry and they work great for us!  I also agree with the pull up idea.  We have used the overnight ones from time to time and they hold a TON.

  • The Huggies Overnights are great-- they really do make a difference. If you're at all close to going up a size, I'd do it, especially if she's a heavy wetter. Even if it's big, it'll just come u higher and you can cinch it a bit tighter. You figure, she's only laying down with it on so it won't be like she'll be filling up a heavy diaper and walking around so it won't be sliding off.

I'm am totally bummed that the Huggies Overnights don't come in 7s because the 6s aren't enough for us anymore (he wears a 6 during the day) and we've been having to double wrap him in an Overnight size 6 underneath a Pampers Cruiser 7. The Goodnights pullups weren't holding enough for us. I'm hoping this heavy wetting is a phase because it's definitely new.

I also love Huggies Overnights in a size up. We are also trying to not give DS liquids right before bed so that helps too.
Limiting liquid made no difference for us. :( I think he's holding it all day and saving it up for one massive pee at night!

Those kids are so tricky! Sometimes DS's diaper is SO full in the morning I can barely shove it into the diaper genie! lol

And other times there's nothing in it! They're just out to screw with us!

  • We're big fans of Luvs in this house. We go a size up at night and that sucker is heavy in the morning!

  • Thanks for all the responses!  Sorry I feel like I posted and ran.  I ended up getting the Pampers overnights and so far so good. Guess I was hesitant to buy because diapers are not cheap so figured I would put some feelers out there before I purchase :)
