Britax BSafe need an infant insert?

Does my britax b safe car seat need an infant insert? I see that it comes with a little one, but then they sell another head/body support pillow. Do I need it too for a newborn?

No. It comes with one which is perfectly sufficient. Also, it is not safe to use any aftermarket products with your car seat. That means no body pillows, BundleMe type items and strap covers that did not come with the seat.

Ditto to above post. Never use aftermarket products! If you are really worried about baby's head tilting to the side, you can use a tightly rolled receiving blanket placed along side the baby's head (do not put behind or on top of head). My lo fit great in the B-safe and she was nearly a month early, so you should be just fine

DD went home in the b-safe at 6 lbs. the seat fit her just fine with the included insert.

We did not need an additional insert but ds was 8 lbs 7 oz

It's because there is a chance it could fall behind the baby's head, pushing the chin down and restricting the baby's airway.
