Easy-ish Question

As SIF questions come, this one is easy... cuz it has nothing to do with my infertility, I'm going to pretend it doesn't exist right now...

My fertility monitor just read peak and my OPKs just turned positive this morning.  We didn't have time to BD this morning, but plan to do it tonight - tomorrow night and then Thursday night.  DH doesn't have any known sperm issues, so every 24 hours should be fine for him.  Does that sound like good timing?  I'm freaking that I'm going to ovulate this afternoon and we haven't done it.  What say you?

(my IF issue is a release immature eggs and my corpus luteum breaks down, so this is probably all a moot point, but I like to feel like I got the best timing possible just in case a miracle happens)

    I think it sounds like your timing should be good! You've got 12-36 hours from first positive opk before you actually ovulate (someone correct me if I'm wrong!), plus whatever time it takes for the egg to travel. I would say the sooner the better to BD tonight for peace of mind. Good luck!

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    I was told day of the positive and then 1-2 after are the most important, but nothing about specific timing the day of. You have some time after ovulation so I wouldn't worry about ovulating this afternoon and not BD until tonight. Good luck!

    Um {TMI alert} but, I've had DH come home on LUNCH for the sake of timing. Lol.

    Everyone is different. For me, by the time I got the first peak I was usually Oing in the next 6hrs (short surge). So for me the night of the first peak, and *maybe* the next day would have been all that mattered. If you usually don't O until your 2nd peak day, then yea, go have a marathon!
