Pregnancy Brain FAIL

Yesterday I was at Home Goods and had to pee (of course).. I went to the bathroom and then I almost walked right out of the bathroom without washing my hands. WTF?!?! That is SO unlike me, I would never, ever not wash my hands in a public bathroom.... GROSS! And the worst part was, a woman was standing right there at the sink and probably thought I turned back around to wash my hands just because I saw her.. ha.

Do you have any bad pregnancy brain fails?

My DH called me while I was grocery shopping and asked me to pick something up for him, I was almost done with the regular stuff and as soon as I got off the phone I walked over to check out totally forgetting that he even asked me to get something for him.

I did this with a load of dirty socks. DH has some smelly feet so the heat from the dryer amplified it.

I walk into the kitchen with a fork in my hand, no idea what I was eating. I can't remember if or when I fed the dogs.

I consistently lose my keys...when they're attached to the ribbon that's around my wrist.

Forgot my dog's name the other day.

Keep calling my sister "mom" and my mom "honey."

The other day we were running some errands and instead of saying, "When we were at Target, I saw these cute pumpkins that I could use for crafts with my students", I said:

"When we were at the place we were just at that had the orange things that we bought for something for school."

And I talked like that the whole night. I would also wander into random aisles and forget completely what I was supposed to be looking for or doing.

I forgot to buckle DD into her car seat the other day. We got to the end of the driveway and I look back to see her nearly standing up. She has gotten in the habit of climbing through when I put DS in his seat and then I go around to buckle her in. I guess I was distracted. I am such a big car seat safety advocate so this was very unlike me. And my husband thinks pregnancy brain doesn't exist!

I put the milk in the cupboard a couple days ago. I forget words all the time, or start talking then forget what I was going to say. I almost forgot to feed the cats yesterday. They just about trampled me when I walked past their food dishes or they probably would have gone hungry.

I'm already a fairly scatterbrained teacher, likely to forget what I wanted to say, and going off on tangents. But I'm pretty sure my kids think I'm nuts. No one knows at work yet, and they've started to take it upon themselves to remind me what I was talking about because I lose track mid-sentance.

I've done this a couple times luckily as soon as I put the car in drive DD say "stop mommy I not buckled"

My pregnancy brain fail : it`s so strange, but since I got pregnant I can`t coordinate my fingers on the keyboard. Every second word is written wrong! In any language.. Then I have to read again what I wrote and make corrections

My pregnancy brain is horrible! And my husband makes comments on it all the time! But after yesterday, I'm convinced that husbands get pregnancy brain too!

Yea, about half an hour before dinner I told DH I wanted pizza. He picks me up, announces we're going to pizza, and I was a little annoyed. After eating, I mentioned how i kinda didn't want pizza. He had to show me the text message where I said i wanted pizza. I had no recollection!! Still shocked by this...

I put my iPad on the roof of the car while I was helping my daughter into the car and with her car seat and then totally took off in the car with it still on the roof! I went home then back out again before I realized I never took it off. Fortunately when I remembered and pulled over it was still up there in one piece!

I drove off this morning after puttin DS in the back seat... Wallet and MacBook still on the roof, I got 4 Miles before they flew off. Thankfully some old man stopped the other car 2" before it ran them over. I can't believe it only has a small scuff mark and still works!

I totally laughed out loud when I read that. LOL. I talk like that sometimes too.
