Need Boy/girl costume ideas

So I still don't have costumes or even ideas for costumes for the twins for Halloween this year. There will be a kids costume parade at DH's company picnic this year so I want to come up with something cute. Preferably matching boy/girl costumes. Last year they were Raggedy Ann and Andy. My mom made the costumes (complete with yarn wigs) and they turned out super cute!  It's gonna be hard to beat.

Here are some ideas I've eliminated already:
Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf (there's no way Liam would be comfortable in a wolf costume)
Thing 1 and Thing 2 (seems overdone with twins)

Help me with ideas, please! Our Halloweens don't really get cold. Bonus points for comfort.

  • Dorothy and the scarecrow/tinman/cowardly lion from Oz?

That's all I've got right now - I think Anna is going to go as Dorothy this year :)

  • Charlie Brown and Lucy? I think I'm doing Charlie Brown for G since it'll be easy to make.

But omg raggedy ann and Andy are pretty much the cutest things I've seen all day! Love that.

  • Salt and pepper shakers? If you like geeky things could do R2 D2 and C3PO?

I seen on pinterest the kids were a lion and a tiger, mom was a bear and dad wore a shirt that said oh my... if you wanted to do a family costume.
haha love the "oh my" shirt idea! Cute!
  • All great ideas!

So far I'm thinking Charlie Brown and Lucy would be the easiest to pull off and still pretty cute! I'm trying to pick something that doesn't require head gear. They do seem to like Minnie and Mickey but the ears wouldn't last 2 seconds on.

I kind of wish I would have saved the Raggedy Ann & Andy idea for when they were older and walking around but those wigs would have been an issue. And that side-by-side pic = impossible at this age. Agreed she did an amazing job! Thanks ladies.
  • Baker and a cupcake

    Tooth and tooth fairy

    Love their costume last year!

  • @fishybride82 Tommy is going to make such a cute Charlie Brown! G has a baby mullet right now so I'm not sure how that'll look with the costume, but I guess we'll see!

  • Harry potter and Hermione. No headgear required really.
Superman and wonderwoman. (Did someone already say that?)
Ewoks! There's a cool tutorial floating around the Internet that shows how to do it easily. Hayden was almost an ewok this year.

  • Ben will probably change his mind before then, but as of now Emily is going to be Curious George (just a monkey costume) and he's going to be the man with the yellow hat.

  • Mary Poppins and a chimney sweep!
