Cute! I have a rug in DS's room on top of carpet, mostly because there's some sort of waxy stain from the home's previous owners that I can't get out. I think you could go either way, since you have a colorful room anyway.
I am swooning. I love this look for a boys nursery. You should have seen my Pinterest nursery board if we had a boy. The rustic elements, the wall, sports team touches... Love, Love, Love!! Great job!!
That wall is amazing! and I love the drapes too!! I personally don't like carpet on carpet...but, I tend to trip on that setup so it's more of a klutz problem than a look preference.
I think it looks AWESOME! Love that accent wall by the crib, great job as for the rug, I don't think you need one but you could always get one and take it back if it's overkill.
Thanks y'all! My husband did the wood wall, he used $1 fence boards and stained them with tea(brown) and vinegar and steel wool (grey) and then dry brushed some paint over them and polyurethaned the crap out of them. It was time consuming but it wasn't too hard of a project, at least it didn't seem hard for me watching from my recliner!
LOVE this room!! As far as the rug, someone suggested to me to have one (regardless of whether or not the room is carpeted) in case of accidents, messy diapers, etc. We have hardwood, so we kind of have to have one, but I thought it made sense...? Plus I agree that a braided one might look really cute with your theme
