  Happy Monday everyone!! I guess I will kick us off

  I'm 18 weeks today, feeling flutters and I think hiccups which is amazing. I even "know" for the most part based on placement who is doing what. This is when it starts getting fun, I guess before my insides start getting beat up!

  I have a doctors appointment to check fluid levels on Friday, so I'm excited for the u/s. I love peeking in on them and making sure they are "behaving". Other than that just growing and waiting.

  The GTKY question this week was brought to you by MY crazy question. Which was totally a joke question by a friend but it cracked me up. I felt like I was on Jerry Springer.

  "Do they have the same dad?" - Why yes, yes, they do.
  Side note - I've been married for over 6 years and my husband and I were trying to get pregnant, so this made me almost bust a gut laughing.

  Hi!  29 Weeks.  My boys are doing well, we had an ultrasound last Friday, also did the glucose test.  Cute story, as the tech was trying to measure Squirts head he kept shaking it back and forth like "No, I don't want you to measure my head", then after she got the measurement she was able to focus on his face and caught him smiling.  It was adorable.  We were all laughing through the whole thing.  Nemo is still breech, so we've tentatively set a C-section date.  If he doesn't turn and if I don't go into labor prior, my C-section is scheduled for November 25th or 27th.  I prefer the 27th (my late mom's birthday) but they were full, so they put me in on the 25th, moving me to the 27th if there's a change on that day. 

  I failed my first glucose test and will be going in for the fun 3 hour test tomorrow morning.  I guess normal level they like below 130, mine was 168.  I don't know how bad that was, but I've been trying to totally avoid sugars and carbs.  The carbs is what drives me nuts, as I am such a fan of pasta and bread.  Oh well, hopefully it's just for the next 2 months or so, then I can go back to normal.  And, I'll do whatever I need to to make sure these boys are healthy and happy. 

  ETA: I am now scheduled to see my OB every 2 weeks instead of every 4.  My OB is also going to be giving birth 2 days after my next appt. so will be seeing another doctor during that time, one she recommended as a high-risk OB simply because I'm having twins.

  I have made it to my goal week of 28 weeks!!! After spending lots of time in the Hospital for dilation and shortened cervix they let me go home on strict bed rest since I stayed stable at 1.6. Thursday we go for our growth scan to make sure we don't have IUGR for baby B so I'm pretty nervous about that and to make sure my cervix is still holding in there. Both boys are moving like crazy in there and they are getting really strong. I am in single digits until my scheduled c-section so I'm hoping I hang in there until then. Other than typical aches and pains and some odd BH with hot flashes I'm doing well just peeing like every 3 seconds but I'm just sssooooo happy to have made it to this week now looking forward to the 30 mark! Oh and one baby loves my ribs so I can't bend .... At all haha! And I found a comfortable sleeping position yah!
  
  GTKY: I have gotten so many but one that comes to mind right away was a lady at the doctors office asked me which was my favorite because obviously one was planned the other wasn't as she put it. I didn't even know what to say but as my husband said the look on my face was enough. I had to walk away from that one.

  Hello everyone. I've been following this community for a long time but never introduced myself. I'll be 24 weeks pregnant with twin boys this wed and my due date is 1/21/14. Everything is going great except for my constant trips to the bathroom. all night long. I feel exhausted in the morning. I jjust want you guys to know that I love the advices and words of suport on here. Thank you all.

  Things are going well. We think we've chosen their names which was harder this time around already having 2 daughters, naming 2 more. We felt fresh out of any names for more girls. But we have worked it out, I think. Otherwise, just surviving work and whatnot while I'm not too incredibly miserable. Lol.

  Our twins arrived...13 weeks early. Caitlyn and Beckett will have an 8-10 week stay in NICU, but so far are doing good. We've had an interesting week, but they are finally starting to stabilize. Luckily I had been on HBR for two weeks and had steroids and mag. They are the most beautiful, strong babies. True fighters!

  Well I'm 17 weeks 1 day today. I started feeling movements for the first time ever last week. We had our anatomy scan today. From what we were told, everything looked good. We found out we're having a boy and girl!!! The doctor said our goal is to make it to 32 weeks and everything after that is a bonus! It's hard to believe I'm already over halfway to that mark!

  Hi! 17w3d here. Cruising along pretty well even though I feel like my belly is expanding like crazy. I've only gained 3 lbs but my belly is huge. I always feel like I ate too much and everything is just pushing out. I felt a few flutter kicks over the weekend which was great. Now just waiting for the A/S in two weeks!
  
  What has been the strangest question someone has asked you so far? (Pregnant or after your babies have been born)
  
  Hmm, I can't think of anything strange. I'm sure it will come with time!

  We are 12w3d today and just graduated the RE. I am feeling good despite a little bleeding scare over the weekend. 

  
  

  GTKY - we haven't told enough people to get any really strange questions yet, but I have been asked a few times what the genders are. I guess not everyone knows you can't tell on ultrasound this early. And we have already been asked if twins run in our family, but I have been pretty straight up about saying no, they are a result of fertility treatments.

  Hi there I am 24w6d, made it to the first milestone.  Baby boys are moving around like crazy. I guess there is a dance party I wasn't invited to.  As of right now I have a complete previa which has not moved an inch  . My next ultrasound is October 8th so there is still time.  My doctor said I would be having a c-section because of this and it would be between 36-37 weeks so I guess I might end up with an early christmas gift.

  
  

  Weirdest questions have been the usual do twins run in your side of the family or your husbands and I simply reply with both. I've gotten sick of answering this question honestly because once they know it was with fertility treatments there are even more questions.

  28w2d today. Was sent to L&D last Thursday after I said I hadn't felt the girls moving as much as usual. I was there for 3 hours for an NST and BPP. They passed both with flying colors. I was also told my AFI for both girls was around 15 and they want to see it between 10 and 20. I was happy to hear that since my MFM has me on a low carb/high protein diet because at 24 weeks each girl had quite a bit of fluid. I see the MFM on Thursday so I'll see what they measure me then. Hoping this diet is helping because it sucks. I've never wanted a bowl of oatmeal or cereal so bad. Not to mention a candy bar.

  Still on MBR even though my blood pressure has been great since my 24 week appointment. Honestly I don't think my doc even remembers that she put me on it. At 28-29 weeks with DD I already had swollen ankles, and knock on wood, not yet for me this time. Hoping thats a good sign.

  I also super excited because we have our family/maternity photos on Sunday. I'm having my makeup done and I need to go get a manicure and a pedicure. Just a little pampering.

  Hope everyone else is doing great. I hope October flies by as fast as September did.

  QOTW: When I moved to a new office at around 16 weeks, a "coworker" said "are you pregnant?" and I said "Yes, with twins." Her response was "Why?".

  Update: 34 weeks! Amazing! I went on bed rest at 24 weeks and they told me I would have them any moment. I did hospital bedrest and all the meds. October seemed so far away. I am finally home and on bedrest here. Now that I'm 34 weeks, if I go into labor, they won't stop it. No magnesium. Such a relief. Of course, I'm trying to get to my scheduled c section on 10/24, but it's nice to make it past the major milestone.
  
  QOTD: I got a lot of "do twins run in your family?". Technically yes, but mine were from IVF. I just answer yes. And gotta love the "are they identical?" Even after finding out they are boy/girl. Someone did ask me if they would be born at the same time. That made me pause.

  I'm 25w3d today. I have a lot of swelling in my feet and ankles, but BP is good so my OB is not worried. I'm generally uncomfortable, especially after a day of being on my feet a lot at work. Such is life though.
  
  I love feeling the babies move around. Sometimes I just stop what I'm doing and watch my belly move, lol.
  
  I'm another one who has been asked if my boy/girl twins are identical. Also, I often get asked if we planned on twins...um, how do you do that? We did IVF and transferred two, but that's not exactly planning twins. We just knew it was a strong possibility and we were open to it.

  26w4d here and doing well. My only complaint is the hip pain and charlie horses. And of course all the comments about how big I am already. I am trying not to be sensitive about it, especially since I know that hopefully I still have a long way to go. Looking forward to my shower this weekend and am glad I took the advice to have it earlier, rather than later because it is just getting harder to move around, etc. 

  
  

  Weirdest question: Not sure if this is the weirdest but since it just happened this morning it is fresh in my mind. When my husband saw my belly as I was getting ready for work he asked me if I drew on myself. Ummm...that is the linea nigra and it has been there for awhile. Granted it has gotten a lot darker lately but seems so strange that he a). hadn't noticed before and b). thought I would draw a random line down my belly. 

  BFP #1 on 12/15/11 but missed m/c with d&c on 2/1/12.

  BFP #2 on 5/1/13 = boy/girl TWINS with EDD of 1/3/14 but expected no later than 12/20/13.

  Im feeling pretty good for the most part. Still taking Zofran hopefully my HG is gone soon! Still haven't gained anything even though i have a little belly. Found out we're having a boy and girl!! DD is very excited to have both a brother and sister!

  HI!!!!! 

  First time checking in. I will be 7 weeks pregnant with di/di twins tomorrow. Right now my EDD is 5/21/2014. Baby B is a lot smaller than baby A. They believe it implanted late or I have lost it and it is reabsorbing. I have an appointment on on thursday, hope they give me a scan to check. Here is a pic of my scan incase anyone has any experience they would like to share. GL EVERYONE

  Hi!! This is my first time checking in too. I'm 14 weeks with (most likely) identical twins. They are due march 31 (also my birthday)! We don't know the sex of the babies yet, but, definitely plan on finding out. I haven't really had any strange questions yet. I look forward to getting to know y'all better as we progress :-)

  Hi there!! I just started week 24 with my identical (mono/di) twin boys! Everything is going great with no signs of TTTS!!! They are very active little guys...excited I am able to still keep up with their wild and sassy 2 year old big sister!! At my last appt at 23 weeks 5 days they were weighing in at 1lb 5oz each!! I can't believe we are already 6 months into this pregnancy!! I can't wait to meet these little men but want them to cook as long as possible!!! We had a 3D sono done last week and got some precious pictures of these sweet angels!!

  31 weeks. I have my 32 week appointment on Monday, along with my next ultrasound. Everything seems to be going okay; twins are getting hiccups a lot lately. I have a lot of pain in my hips, legs, and back, and nothing seems to make it better ... par for the course I guess. 
  
  

  GTKY: Nothing too off the wall, a few people have implied that we chose to have twins. When I told one guy he said he always hoped to have triplets since it would be "so much easier." Um, I really doubt it. :-P When I told my MIL I was planning on breastfeeding the twins, she I asked "Is that possible?"   I was in Boston for the weekend on a little baby moon. No more travel for me though, I am shut off! Have an OB appointment tomorrow, then MFM Tuesday to check sizes and growth. The babies either hate or love to fly, they were kicking so hard during take off and landing. It was wild. 

  
  

  GTKY - Nothing unusual except its really weird, and I am not sure how to answer when asked, "were you trying" - We were trying, but not like we planned for twins! So I usually say "yes we were trying but twins were a surprise." People ask if twins run in my family, which they do (my cousin had twins in August) but I know what they are asking me so I usually say "We did not do IVF, if that's what you are asking me." Its a bit snarky but they deserve it.

  28 weeks woohoo! Milestone 2 down. The girls are growing great last weeks growth US showed them at 2.3 and 2.6 lbs. gd test tomorrow morning and my ankle swelling became noticeable this week so I'm hoping it's just par for the course but man is it ugly :-/ taking procardia for some reoccurring contractions and it has helped w my discomfort tremendously! Cervix has shortened a bit at 3.2 from 4 but MFM says nothing to worry about right now just to stay off my feet when/if possible. Girls are moving like crazy and the 3d US pics they gave us at their us last week made this feel very real! Question: 'Are they pra-ternal twins?' Errrrrrr.....what does that even mean?

  My g/b twins (edd 10/22) were born at 36wk 2 days on 9/26 via repeat c-section. Dr was surprised I made it that long after showing some ptl symptoms for a few weeks prior. At 36 wk appt was checked to find that I was 5cm dilated with bulging water sac. That resulted in an immediate trip to the hospital for delivery that day. Kerrigan and Camden are just over a week old and doing great!

  Hi MoM's! Checking in for week 17 here. Really it's Saturday and I'm almost 18 week now but it's ok. We found out our Modi twins are girls! TEAM PINK! Woo! The girls are doing so good and I've felt them move a few times. They seem to only want to move when I'm laying down on my back and my husband talks to them and rubs my belly. When I talk to them and rub my belly I get nothing. Are they already daddy's girls? Anyway I learned that their placenta is a bit low and close to my cervix so I'm officially on pelvic rest and it completely SUCKS! They are healthy and that's all that matters. We're moving into our new house in a few weeks. Then the nursery planning will start. Totally overwhelmed by this. Anyone else have twin baby registry anxiety?

  20 weeks with di/do twin girls! This past week was a rough week, had to go to ER for extreme back pain. Apparently babies were sitting on my ureters causing fluid back up which made my right kidney swele up. Got put on a low dose antibiotics. Both girls were healthy and no contractions detected! Yay! Came home, after 24 hours started feeling even more pain and I started vomiting. Turns out I was allergic to the antibiotics they gave me. So got new antibiotics, pain meds and some zofran. Feeling much better now, thank goodness!!
  The girls have been kicking a lot, especially if they hear music. And they are on opposite schedules I've noticed. They rarely kick at the same time.
  
  Question of the week: we'll not really a question but... now I'm so use to referring to them as "babies" that when I talk to anyone about my pregnancy and they don't know it's two.... It's pretty hilarious to see their shocked reactions, "wait... Babies????" I laugh and say "ohh ya! Two little girls!" Lol love it!!

  Hello, new here. I've been using the pregnancy calendar on the bump since early on but somehow never found the boards I guess, til I was browsing around tonight.

  Anyway, my name is Wendi, I'm 25, FTM and having spontaneous b/g twins! We've picked names, Rome Patrick and Brooke Lynn. I'm due 1/16/14(40 wks) but will not actually go past 1/2/14 (38 wks) so however you consider it. Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

  I'm 25+2 today and I just seen my OB 3 days ago for my 24 week appointment. I've been having a lot of cervical pressure, some pain, and of course a ton of round ligament pain. So I had my first official cervix check (MFM looked at it 3 1/2 weeks ago via ultrasound and said it was long and looked fine, didn't do a full check). My cervix is still somewhat long but is soft so my OB asked when I go back to MFM (3 weeks) and she didn't want me to wait that long so she asked me to come back in a week and a half. Not overly concerned just yet but I have to admit, my stomach did a little flip when I heard it. So we'll see what happens, I am on my feet almost 8 hours a day so just trying to take it easy this weekend.

  GTKY: Nothing too strange really. But I just got done training a class of new people and several of them asked me if my boy/girl twins were identical. I just chuckled and explained how they couldn't be identical..
