I bought my LO's first outfit today! I purchased it in 6m (Carter's brand) just to be safe. I live in New England, so even if it takes her a little while to fit it, it should still be cold enough for her to snuggle up in. It's the cutest sherpa hooded onesie! I was just wondering how many of you have already started buying clothes for LO? And how many outfits per sizing?
Oh my goodness, I have many. We just hung them all up in the nursery closet this weekend. Most of them I did not buy myself, since my mom and our friends wanted to give us a few as gifts before we moved. I have bought a few cute Christmas outfits and onesies from Carter's myself!

Even though this is our third we have bought a few things as the other two were born in summer/early fall. Mostly sleep/play outfits as they don't wear much else in the beginning. Gotta pull some of the old nb stuff out and see what is useable as some of it was 2/3rd hand when we got it. I thought we'd be set but you'd be surprised how much wear stuff gets through two kids.
My kids dresser is full to the max. She's set for her first year and my shower is not until November.
Basically this...For some reason, I decided to save EVERY article of clothing DS has ever worn and we're having a second boy. I just went through organizing LO's dresser with clothing from 0-12 months and it's STUFFED!. And I bought a bunch of stuff this weekend.
I think we are pretty much set for the first year. I have been shopping since we found out we were having a girl. I've been shopping at garage sales and clearance racks so everything was cheap.
It is so hard waiting until after the shower, I know. We have a few nb outfits and a few gifts in other sizes, but I am trying hard to be cost conscious and wait.
we bought a couple outfits & we've had a lot passed onto us as well from a friend, but those are ranging from NB to 12 months, which is nice. I'll be waiting til after my shower to determine what we still need to buy. Looks like right now we actually have the least in NB size, so we may end up needing to get more of those.
This is my 3rd baby & my 2nd girl, but girl #1 was a summer baby. So far I've purchased 3 NB outfits, 4 sleep sacks, a few 0-3 month sleep & plays & about ten 3 months outfits and 10 or so 6-12 months. That's plenty for now, I figure she'll get alot of clothes for Christmas this year too!
I've gotten a few things over the past few months as the sales have gone in. Already have received some gifts. I think they're planning something at work, but no other shower that I am aware of since it's (girl) #4. Other than gifts, we're taking care of what she'll need. I DO need to take proper inventory of what we have though.
As we don't know what we're having, we've only bought a few neutral baby grows and vests in newborn or 0-6 months so it's pretty boring really haha! I really really want to buy cool boys or pretty girls outfits but I can go wild once the baby is here and get lots of suitable bits. I can't wait!! xx
I have a ton of stuff from DS1 who is a November baby, but it didn't stop me from shopping for DS2. I have some cute new footies and outfits for when he goes daycare.
We have all of Sawyer's clothes still and most if the newborn thins we can use. They are a little off season, so I have had to pick up some 0-3 winter clothes here and there. Nothing extravagant though, we had WAY too many clothes with our first!
I haven't bought anything but this is my 3rd boy. I plan on sewing some stuff for him but otherwise using all the handmedowns. But even that is exciting - can't wait for the room to be ready so I can get it all out of the attic. I do want to buy him some Christmas outfits though
We just picked one yesterday, Its a cute onsie with a small cap for 3months. I got two other layette sets as gifts thats all for now. My shower is on Oct 20th and i can't wait to see what lil adorable gifts i get for the LO feeling happy and excited.
I haven't bought anything yet, but LO already has a good bit of clothes. 99% of it is football stuff. My mom is a huge GA fan and my ILs are huge Cleveland fans. I'm holding off buying anything until after the shower.
I just demolished the Carter's outlet. Dh was only moderately entertained.
Me too. And every time I go to a baby fair I come back with a stack of clothes, but they're like 50c each! Rude not to. I think I've bought a whole stack of tops though and no pants
