Our LO might have hip dysplasia (bilateral hip clicks, frank breech since 20wks). They don't do ultrasounds to check for it until 6wks. She has an u/s in a little over a week.
My 4 year old cousin had hip dysplasia, and she was in the harness thing for quite a while to correct it. She looked like a little froggy. Apparently the doctors thought it was a real possibility even before she was born due to her position in the uterus. In any case, it was corrected and she is perfectly fine!
My now-14-month-old had bilateral hip dysplasia but it corrected itself at around 6-8 months old. She was just followed via ultrasounds and x rays. No sling needed.
We just got a precautionary ultrasound today for it. I had it as a baby and wore braces before I was a year old. The earlier you catch it, the better obviously.
4 years TTC including countless tests, 2 surgeries, and one failed IUI
