One of my best friends is due in january and is having a shower this fall. She wants games...so I'm curious...what games/activities/shower anything did you love about the baby shower you had?
I had a thing where we had a jar of mms and if you brought diapers you could play, so they would guess how many were in there and they won a nice prize ike a gift card and little stuff, we wrote in the invite to bring diapers to be entered
I really enjoyed the advice cards everyone filled out. Not really a game but all the ftp advice was sweet.
Also loved the game where you can't say baby and if you do you lose your necklace to the person who caught you. Whoever winds up with the most necklaces at the end if the shower wins a prize.
We did a game where people paired up, put on blindfolds, and tried to feed each other applesauce (with both people blindfolded). The pair that managed to feed the most applesauce after 60 seconds won. It was hysterical! And, it was also short, and participation was optional, both of which I think are important for shower games.
We did the price is right game and a play on the necklace game where you can't cross your legs or arms. At end of shower person with most necklaces win.
We had a game where there was a list of songs with the word baby in them and the guest had to guess the song name and artist . For instance "Baby" by Justin bieber was one of them.
We did a blindfolded relay U have teams and each person takes turn wearing the blindfold and putting on a diaper on a baby doll. Too funny-new mommies do great with practice putting on diaper in the dark LOL!
We did the "guess the poop" game where you melt different kinds of candy bars in diapers and guess what it is. Guess the most candies correctly to win. The faces people made were hilarious. At my sister's shower we played a game where while blindfolded you had to scoop as many cotton balls out of one bowl (using an ice cream scoop) and put them in another bowl. Whoever transferred the most cotton balls won. That one was a lot of fun to watch.
Something my friends did for me was amazing!! All the guests were asked to bring $5, then at the shower they all went around and picked a date they thought I would deliver my LO. So, one name per day and along with their name the guest got to pick a store, salon, restaurant etc... that I (the mom) would get a gift card to. For example, I had 12 girls at my shower and they all brought $5 so I ended up getting a gift card for $60 to Hot Mama because the girl that guessed the day I delivered on chose for me to get a gift card to hot mama. It was so thoughtful and different.
E played literary games... One we found online that had children's book titles with but the name has been changed with long vocabulary type words and you had to come up with the title, another that showed pictures of characters from books that you had to name. It got people talking about their favorite children's books which was cute.
We did a game where we took a baby pic one from when H was a baby and one from me. We cut out our eyes, nose, lips, ears, eyebrows etc. I had them laminated. At the shower we set them on every table so the guests could put together what they thought our baby would look like. I picked the best one.

I wouldn't do any "games" where you ask people to bring diapers or money to participate. That's not really a game, it's just asking for an additional gift which I think is pretty rude. I would have been mortified if the host of my shower did that.
I agree with other posters that the game where you can't say baby is fun and doesn't require too much effort by the guests. Everyone can just mingle and enjoy the shower, all while playing the game.
My baby shower was co-ed, so one of the games the men had to blow up a balloon as much as they could in 20 seconds, then tuck them under their shirts, and then without bending their knees they had to bend over and tie their shoes, who's ever balloon didn't pop won.

OP, please don't take this advice. So mean to tell people what to bring, and on top of that, have a game where some people are actually excluded? Incredibly tacky.

We did something similar, but guests used magazines to make a baby they thought would look like us and glued it on small poster board.
