NBR: wild bird help NEVER MIND

I found this bird in the street. I moved it to the grass and left it but when I went back 20 min later it was still there. So I brought it home and put it on or screened in porch. I plan to call wild life person but most likely they won't be here till tomorrow. What should I do till then? I put some water out for it but idk what else to do.
EDIT: never mind, it died :(

    Yes he was on a comfy blanket that we didn't need anymore. I gave him water and some bread crumbs. I left him alone because I didn't want to startle him. I figured he got hit by a car and most likely had internal bleeding :( I peeked out the window and he was on his back so I went out to check on him and he died right in front of me. Sooooo not what I needed today. I'm glad he was comfortable and not still in the street though.
