Ovulation spotting.

Today I had a giant patch of EWCM (I was unreasonably excited) with a small streak of blood. I've had some ovulation style cramping the last day or so. So far all OPKs are neg and I've had 4 days of "high" on the CBE advanced OPKs.

So, is it a real thing? Anyone have this? If so, what does it look like? Did you have it before or after a positive opk? Any other fun facts?? Thanks ladies!

    Good question!  I had the same thing today (a big clump of cervical mucus with a streak of blood).  I'm hoping I O'd 2 days ago, but curious what that could be.  So I have no insight, but I'm following :)

    I think I had ovulation bleeding this cycle.  I wasn't charting, but it started on CD14 and I had EWCM for a few days beforehand so I thought it was a good chance that it was it.

    Mine was heavier than you described.  Like heavy spotting for 2-3 days.  But when I read about it I heard accounts that sounded like you describe.  I hope this is O for you!

    No advice on the spotting, but make sure you dont use the same CB advanced OPK for more than one month. When I used it, I got a peak the first month but I had leftover tests so I used it a second month. I got multiple days of "high" like you did, but it never gave me a "peak", despite an obvious temp spike.

    I swear I have had ovulation spotting ever since my MMC. I never noticed spotting mid-cycle before and a few times I have noticed some faint spotting just as I get +OPKs, like the same day or day before. I may just never have noticed before because I wasn't looking for it, but I see it now. For me, it only presents on TP and is very faint speckles for lack of better word! And tend to be accompanied by what I presume are ovulation cramps.

    No, because it wasn't until after I already ovulated that I realized it wasn't detecting it, and I didn't have another brand of OPKs. I actually think I posted on here about it (or maybe someone else did?) sometime over the summer and a few other bumpies said they had the same experience. So I recommend just using the regular CB OPKs and just BDing as soon as you see the smiley and a few days before you expect to see it. Do you temp?

    I can't find the regular CBE OPKs anymore. I've been using some regular dip OPKs recently, though, because the excessive blinking just seemed off. I am temping, but this is the first month for that and I've been having trouble sleeping, so I'm not really sure if my temps are telling me anything yet. Damn! I'm so ticked at CBE.

    I've had it several times.  Sometimes it actually looks like blood, but usually it's blood-streaked or pink CM.  I usually have it one day before O.

    This! Good to know. Last month was the first cycle I used the advanced ones, and I was saving the leftovers. Thanks!

    This! Good to know. Last month was the first cycle I used the advanced ones, and I was saving the leftovers. Thanks!


    Update....I got a solid smiley and a positive dip opk this morning. I'm still not sure about these advanced OPKs and will continue to test out my surge with the dips. If I use them again, I guess Ill just have to use a new handle. Lame.
