I'm meeting with my OB Next week and will be discussing bc options. What type did you choose and why? I'm researching the options now as I'm not sure if I'll need to make a decision the day of my visit...
I'm going to watch this post. I have several more weeks before I see the doctor. My husband is going to get a vasectomy at some point but I'm not sure what we will do in the meantime.
I'm planning to go back on the pill. It's the one I used before, so I'm used to it. Inserts make me nervous, even though I've heard good things. I'm just sticking with my comfort zone.

I'm currently nursing, so once my baby was born I started on a low dose BC pill. However at my 6 week appointment I am going to discuss having an iud again. It is so much more convenient to not have to worry about taking something every day at the same time. I had the Paragard before, but this time I will opt for the Mirena
I got the shot. It is not a good long term solution but my DH has a vasectomy scheduled next week so provided his after test is clear I will have only had to get one shot---at most two. I am horrible at remembering pills and due to our situation only need a short term birth control.
I plan on going back on the pill. I've never had any issue with taking it and I never got the negative side effects. I am not sure when we want our next baby so I figure it will be easier to just stop taking the pill rather than having to go get an IUD taken out.
I went on Depo. We plan to start TTC again next year so I figured I'd get it once or twice and then move on to natural family planning.

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free. A diversified multi-cultural, post-modern deconstruction that is anatomically and ecologically incorrect. I’ve been up linked and downloaded, I’ve been inputted and outsourced, I know the upside of downsizing, I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high-tech low-life. A cutting edge, state-of-the-art bi-coastal multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nanosecond! I’m new wave, but I’m old school and my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hot-wired, heat seeking, warm-hearted cool customer, voice activated and bio-degradable. I interface with my database, my database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, I’m hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive.
Debating between Nuvaring and Mirena. I have PCOS so I need some hormonal support to keep my PCOS symptoms in check. Right now though I am EBF so I am taking the mini pill and trying hard to remember to take it on time. :-P
I will get an IUD. I EBF and taking a hormonal pill just makes me nervous because I don't want anything to pass through my milk to DD. The non hormonal pill needs to be taken at same time everyday and I know I won't be able to do that.
My doctors talked me into Skyla (three year version of Mirena) and I regret it. Having it inserted was uncomfortable and my husband can feel it when we have sex. My doctor (assumably who collected a profit from using this specific IUD he was REALLY excited about) says that it's normal. I was on the pill before, and it worked fine and I had really regular periods. If I can work the situation out with my insurance company and find a new doctor who will remove it I am going that route.
Mini pill for me. I have pcos and need to be on some sort if pill
Off BCP since 1/12 TTC since 3/12 High LH/FSH Ratio 8/12 DX with PCOS 11/12 Clomid 50mg - 19.5mm Follie - Trigger + TI = BFP! 11/12 EDD August 11, 2013
It kind of freaks me out that it messes with the natural order of things.
I'm not a hippie or super religious...it just weirds me out.
I did take it for 5 years though.
I took it in college, and now that I am more informed about it I realize it's not for me. Nothing against it. In fact I think it is a wonderful invention. I'm just more of a NFP type person.
Condoms for us for now. I took the pill for 10 years before TTC and not sure I want to anymore. Not really into IUDs either. I guess I'm not sure of our long-term plans!
