Peri appoitment good results

Well I had my appointment with the Peri. We are having a boy, all looks good with the ultrasound, baby has no markers for down syndrome. He said with the ultrasound results and my age they put my risk at 1 out of 270. He said that puts me right at the border, and said if I wanted we could do the non invasive test since it is available. Our insurance covers it or at least that is what I read on the insurances page so I went ahead and had it done.

Now the fun of picking boy names, as I'm trying to avoid my husband passing on his name :P

    Best of luck with the boy names! I was actually hoping for a boy if only because then the name was already decided! (We planned to name him after DH.)

    Thank you, it is such a relief being able to let go of one more worry.

     

    I wouldn't mind so much about naming him after his father if he would be a 3rd , but as a fourth or 15th depending how you look at the passing down of names is not appealing to me.

    Congrats!! My DH wanted to pass down his name if we had a boy, I was not on board with that plan. Luckily we didn't have to struggle with it since we are having a girl. :)
    Me:41, DH:41 Positive for MTHFR mutations- one copy C677T, one copy A1298C. One daughter born on Thanksgiving in 2013. Six losses.

    Glad your results from testing were good!  Funny how we all have opinions on passing down the father's name, if we have a boy I am voting to use my dh's name as middle, my dh doesn't want to use his name at all...  We're hoping for pink!

    Congratulations! I'm also 40 and doing an NT scan and first Peri visit on Thursday. Also if we have a boy we're naming him after my DH (only a third though!). GL!
    Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

    Thank you everyone! I got the Verifi test results back today, everything looks good and they also confirmed the Doctor saying we are having a boy.

    Congrats!  Boys names are tough for us, we have one option, but can't seem to get any more on the table and we're not really sold on the one we have.  We'll have to wait awhile to find out gender though!
