Well this is super annoying.

Just called to schedule the appt. for the IVF consult, and I was hoping and praying I could get in by Weds. which would be CD1 (the office is actually really good about getting appts. asap) but they are booked until 10/7. Which will be CD6, which means we get to do nothing for an entire cycle. No IUI, no IVF, nothing, just sit around waiting for Nov. cycle. UGH UGH UGH. 


I just want to yell and scream. I am so frustrated with this whole effing process. It always feels like I'm in a "Hurry up and wait" rut. We finally got to the point of treatment cycles, after 7 effing months of testing, and now we're back to effing waiting again. 


I just wanted to vent. That's all.  Just waiting around for AF. Nothing to really see here.

    November 2013 - Benched, waiting for first post-loss AF.
    No longer benched per New RE/OB!
    Jan. 15 2014 - BFP. HCG 3900 - Ectopic :( 
    Jan. 16 2014 Left tube removed and D&C
    March 2, 2014 First AF

    Vent away! They won't let you do another IUI cycle while you wait?

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    I guess not! I asked her that last cycle (if we can plan for IVF while we're waiting on the IUI cycle) something about INS approval issues. I guess that makes sense, but it's just so frustrating to get benched when we're just starting treatments :(

    Ugh, that sucks. Stupid INS. Never know though, there have been several stories through here of someone getting KU on a hurry-up-and-wait cycle!

    Blech! I am sorry... You would think they would let you make it earlier and always be able to cancel it.  So frustrating.  We spend way to much of our lives waiting.

    I'm sorry - the waiting game is hard.....

     

    We are in a perpetual state of waiting - so vent away.

    BFP #1 7/31/09 - m/c 8/22/09

    BFP #2 4/15/10 - DD born 12/31/10

    TTC #2 since July 2012

    BFP #3 9/24/12 - m/c 10/15/12

    Dx PCOS/LPD 5/2013 - Rx Metformin (1500mg) and GF diet

    BFP #4 6/10/13 - CP 6/12/13

    8/2013 Rx for low dose Naltrexone

    9/2013 DH's SA showed low motility/morph/viability

    10/2013 Lap removed multiple areas of scar tissue adhesions and opened blocked tube.

    BFP #5 1/24/2014 - EDD 10/3/2014

    This could be it! Grow baby!

    This exact thing happened to me. After my 3rd IUI I called to report my CD1 and they said there was no 'plan' in my chart and I needed to meet with the doctor before proceeding with another medicated cycle...and of course they were booked for what seemed like an eternity, so we had to sit that cycle out. I felt the same way as you! I hope they can get you in there ASAP!

    TTC #2

    Clomid 50 mg + IUI#1  = BFP, m/c and D&C at 7w1d

    Clomid 50mg + IUI#2 = BFN

    Clomid 100mg + IUI#3 = BFN

    Lupron + Follistim + IVF#1 = 11ER, 10M, 10F, ET of 1 expanded BBA 5-day blast, 2 Frosties. BFP! Beta 10/13 = 264! Beta 10/15 = 702! EDD 6/21/14

    That is really frustrating! There is definitely a lot of hurry up and wait with all of this and it gets old fast.

    DS born Jan 2010

    TTC#2 since Nov 2010 with breaks for DH cancer tx (remission!)

    Tube with hydro removed Feb 2013

    BFP 11/11/13 IUI#2 clomid+trigger+prometrium

    It's so hard to be at the mercy of someone else's schedule and your body's cycle when all you want to do is get things going.  I'm sorry for the cycle break - it's not fair.

    I did ask them to call if there were any cancellations, so I guess we'll see. I doubt anyone would cancel a RE appt though. 

    I took some time to cool off, and I'm feeling much better about the whole thing. I just need to work on my patience!  :bz
