Infantino or snugli carriers?

  I wouldn't use an infantino or snugli.   This explains why dangling at the hips is bad for baby- https://www.hipdysplasia.org/developmental-dysplasia-of-the-hip/prevention/baby-carriers-seats-and-other-equipment/
  
  They also don't distribute weight well so it makes it uncomfortable for the person carrying the baby.
  
  Also infantino as a brand doesn't have a great safety record.
  
  If you are looking for an inexpensive babywearing option, a moby is easy to learn and not very pricey... you can also easily make one.

  I would look around ebay and craigslist for a reasonably priced Ergo.  Amazon has a few colors (like chocolate) which are still slightly on sale.

  Glad you posted this question.  I didn't use a carrier with DS, but I was gifted an Infantino carrier, and I have been contemplating whether to try it out or just return it.  I don't think I will use a carrier much to justify an expensive one, but we do have a kids resale shop nearby that always has the more expensive brand carriers for less.

  I would splurge on the Ergo. It's FANTASTIC! With my first niece, my sister had the Baby Bjorn and I would wear my niece while shopping. My back was killing me after just a few stores. With her second, she got an Ergo and I could wear that sucker all day. It's much better for mom and baby!

  Agree with pp. I wouldn't use either. The snugli especially is not good for baby's hips. I would invest in the ergo. I have one and love it already. I use it easily with my 2 year old. You will be able to use it or a long time.   DON'T do this! Fake Ergos are everywhere. Do not buy an Ergo unless you can confirm that it is a real one.
