I have an older house so the rooms are big. The nursery also has a walk in closet with plenty of storage space. I've been contemplating using a changing table with 2 storage drawers as well as a dresser or chest of drawers in the nursery because I have the space. Is anyone against using a changing table and prefers the changing pad on the dresser? I'm a FTM so all the decision making has been overwhelming.
Re: Changing table & dresser
For our first child, we got a dresser that had a removable rail around the changing area on top. Once we finish potty training him, it will be a regular dresser. Now that we're buying furniture for Baby #2, we're planning to get a double dresser without a changing rail because the changing rail was actually kind of a pain. (It wouldn't prevent a baby from falling off, and to keep the changing pad from slipping, we put a rubber non-skid rug pad underneath.)
